Nice, we get a letter at the end of each term detailing all our attendance/lates but I've noticed it's a bit inaccurate.Quote:

Taking attendance so stringently is a sign of a school with no faith in the parents of their students.

The method my school used was calling off the students names/looking around the class and marking them in attendance. It worked pretty well- only bad if th teacher forgot you showed up late or missed you when doing attendance.
I honestly think that until schools move to the internet, that is the best method. It is hard to skip under it and it is simple enough it can't break down. What if the head scanner breaks? What happens then? You probably end up taking roll call. ^_^
