We all (as far as I can see) think that the cheating issue is one that needs to be dealt with. But why shouldn't you pack huge amounts of trrops into your HC? It's yours. You capped it. You can do what you like with it.
Cysero, it's not the ideas we disagree with. As you can see above, most of us agree with most of what he's saying. It's the fact that the things we don't agree with, we've explained, and jp continues to say the same post over and over again.

My post was meant to show you that....when taking a city.....you can get very very close to a 1 to 1 kill ratio. If a city is defended by 10 million archers, don't expect 500k archers to be able to take it.
we lost 1.1 mil archers to take 900k archers + layers. when talking a city that is better defeneded, you just have to modify your approach.
Give me a realistic city and I will tell you how to break it with relatively acceptable losses.

I don't want you to explain how to break it. I want somone to post real world battle reports of a high level enemy held HC (L16+) being taken by a rival. An HC with millions of troops, L10 walls, full walls, max research and Historic Heros with 900+ defending the city. Not Queens or Kings. Troop numbers typically look like:
1 mil worker
5 mil warrior
5 mil pike
5 mil sword
500k cav
200k phract
5 mil archer
500k balls
50k rams
100k pults
Real world examples please. Not hearsay, not theories, not "Do this and that to break it.." I want real world battle reports, total numbers of waves sent, total number of troops used, all the info to support the battle reports. Not just 1 or 2 battle reports showing some pike and sword getting wiped. I mean from first wave until last wave, the whole deal.
I messaged you how i'd take that city down. I delete my reports regularly so i don't have anything to show you, but i can save some reports on my next attack.

if your miffed about the number of def troops in a city have a rethink about the game your playing....with no refuge in age2 its possible to have stupendus armys defending a city, hc or normal city it dont matter. defending has always been easier than attacking and it has nothing to do with hc's so stop crying about STILL being under the thumb of 00,00 on your server (which i suspect is wat this thread is REALLY about) and get with the program!

I never said that high troop counts are the only reason HCs are so easy to defend. That is just a part of it. Account sharing and other things are part of the reason they are so easy to defend.
Now, since I do not account share and I play fair, yes, if I owned a HC it would be capped while I sleep.

account sharing is a problem but it is by no means exclusive to historic citys.
the amount of times i have been foiled by a person logging into someone elses acc is a lot.
let me present you with this......
if it takes 6million troops to cap a lv16 when it is an npc do you not think that it will take 4/5/6.....hell 10 times as many troops to cap it from a player who was good enough to cap it in the first place?
the only valid point in your argument jp is account sharing, but that has nothing to do with how easy or hard a city is to cap. account sharing is che@ting and the mechanics of the game should not be changed because people do this.

There will be no single report that can explain this for you. To take down a defense like that, you most likely need several hundred waves. and 99.9% of them wont even give you a report.
The methods used depends on defending heroes stats and star ratings to avvoid overlay/overflow . Wich defines wether or not a phract smack can be used (the finishing attack that actually give report can easily be seen in the battle reports forums, there is usually tons of them per page with "my phract smack killed 500k+ archers , look !")
I know i didnt give you what you wanted. But no one can. Because you only get reports from 0.01% of the attacks anyways.

Generelly when hitting big targets, you going thru layer by layer getting no reports on every thing.
You send what you think need to take out specific troops, with having an understanding of how the mechanics will play out. Then you use the hero exp any any honor movement to see just how successful it was. You can also scout the person down, but I have found in age II scouting someone down is almost not worth it on big targets. Where in age I with a good hero I can kill over 100k defending scouts with a 100k scout wave in age II I cannot get anywhere near this ratio.
