Well you know, I think people are freer in awarding rep to colored names. Just my opinion maybe.

Considering that people today can live a LOT more points than they would a year ago, I would think that our newer members would get their rep built up a whole lot faster than they could a year ago...

Why does he want to know this? I dont know, maybe he's submitting it to a governmental power that will later kidnap this members to run experiments on.

True.

Perhaps a better yardstick would be how many times a member got repped per his/her number of posts?

Edit: I got repped 307 times so far. Certainly not enough to be even close to winning this. But I don't think I should be in the running anyway due to my long tenure as Mod.

I have been repped over 850 times.

Rather than looking for the highest rep-per-post, I'm curious about the lowest average rep per rep. By that, I mean rep(noun) per rep(verb). Take your total reputation and divide by the total amount of times you have been repped. My average is approximately 3.2 reputation per rep.

I wonder if that paragraph makes sense to anyone. I couldn't help but chuckle as I wrote "rep per rep."

Makes sense to me Rota...

Maybe retype it to average points per time repped.

@Bole - I tend to find myself repping colors more too.

Let's see... 1443 rep points over 307 times repped comes to... 4.7 average rep.

Which just shows I had a lot more from established members than newbs.

That also factors in the red rep I received from Lazz one time for not fully reading the OP.

According to most of the comments that go with the rep, I make people laugh. I'm not very helpful otherwise, I guess, lol.

Edit: If you factor in red rep, I have average of 10.13793103448276.......... I'm just gonna go with the first one.

I have a 4.89 average, including my red reps (Which is like 13).

Since we're playing around with other ways to look at rep...
How about number of posts per rep? (not points of reputation, but each time repped)

My post count of approximately 10,400 divided by almost 860 reps would be 12.1
That would show that I receive a rep for every 12.1 posts I make.
I get a point of rep for every 3.7 posts I make.

Umm ok I have 641 points of rep (including a single red rep) and including that red rep I have 52 reps so my rep per rep is 12.32...

And My rep per post is 2460 posts divided by 641 points of rep which is 3.83 posts per rep point....

I have had an average of about 4 per rep, and get rep about every 5.6 posts. The rep per rep numbers remind me of a biodiversity index, except more to determine how long the person has been a posting member as if there were no other way of knowing. Might be a bit inaccurate though.

I've been repped 205 times but 6 of those were red so 1204 points divided by 199 is an average of 6.050251256281407 points per rep. (I think I'll just round that to 6. :))

Also, 1306 posts divided by 1204 points is 1 point for every 1.084717607973422 posts.

594 posts (including this one) / 304 rep total (got more rep) = 1.953947...
594 posts / 29 green reps = 20.48275...
