There are all sorts of people in this world and some of them are going to make dumb, inappropriate comments at the worst possible times. I choose to either ignore them totally or, in this forum, send a bit of colour their way, and just keep on the subject.
More than 1,500 Christchurch residents are spending the night in city parks tonight and in the longer term, may have no home to return to any more and may have lost their business or place of employment as well. Water is an issue as well. As video footage has shown, there are many ruptured water mains throughout the city. Rescuers will have been working throughout the night in dangerous conditions to try to find as many of the more than 100 people still missing. Australian search and rescue and medical teams are expected to be on the ground by first light, ready to go to work as soon as they arrive.
Hope the deaths dont rise i really feel for those that have lost friends and relatives
Yea, i live in Chch and it was pretty horrific, the worst thing about all the shocks is they are so shallow, only a few ks deep. And you cant really call the aftershocks "small" because theyve been up to 5.7, and theres been so many 4+ already. At least we knew what to do, because of last time, however due to the time it struck(lunch) there will be over 100 deaths, when the 7.1 hit last sept there was 0
