I only just found out about this earlier this morning as I wasn't tuned into news reports last night. It's quite a shock. This is probably linked to the New Zealand earthquake as they both sit on the edge of the same tectonic plate. I hate to be a doom-sayer but it doesn't bode well for the west coasts of the Americas either, as they are on the edge of the same tectonic plate which seems to be in the process of shifting.
I want to join my voice to Arkias' on this and say all of us here in Quebec are with our Japanese friends in our thoughts and souls in light of those horrible events.Quote:

As I write, Ive finished a nightshift and see 2 more quakes have hit Japan of 6.7 since I last saw the news. The footage we have seen is terrifying, of just how quickly the Tsunami swamped the land. It's this that appears to have done most damage, as opposed to the quakes, for which surely the Japanese are the best prepared in the world, and thank goodness or the toll, I fear, would be higher from the quake itself.
I have requested a cease fire on our server for known Japanese members, tho its hard to tell who is where tbh, main reason for posting here, apart from to offer thoughts to those affected, is to request the same on all servers, if poss. I know this is easily abused, but if you are asked to back off someone and they hit you, fair game, but pls use common sense where poss.
Hosts with known Japanese members who havent yet logged in (I know the nets down in parts) should be accommodated where poss with reds. If everyone else shows common sense also..... at the end of the day this is a game...it aint a movie on TV peeps.
Thoughts to all affected by this, my next $30 pack wont go to evony but to aid charity.

There was a devastating Earthquake in Japan a few decades ago, but even that wasn't as strong.
Let's hope and pray that the death toll won't go any higher. Cling on to any hope you have, and hold it dear to you. Never give up.
