Bailey Jay is actually very pretty, I showed a friend of mine, he gave his nod of approval, said it was a guy, and he turned inside out.
Thank you not getting mad.
1. I'm going to agree with SbD's definition of true love. I think it's when the love is true and genuine and not said whimsically, deceitfully, or out of convenience.
2. Conrad- Pure love can exist. I love my family with all my heart and soul and I have no underlying libidinous drive to have sex with any of them. I also care deeply for many of my friends, and again, have no urge to have sex with them. Unless you specifically mean pure love between life partners.
As for sexual activity... well, you can't have children and start a family without it. Ideally, you'll want children with the person you truly love, and not with some random stranger on the street you don't care about. Alternatively, you could forgo children and a family and live a life of chastity (which some people indeed do), but a common practice of that by humankind to achieve pure love would correlate directly with our abrupt extinction. At least until petri dish babies become a cheap, affordable, and common practice. Though I think mass produced genetically engineered babies takes the magic out of the whole thing.
A chemical reaction happens that is pretty much the same as with a drug addiction. Hormones driving you nuts, closing eyes & ears to reality, only focussing on that "real" love. eventually it evolves into decication commitment and so on. Is that true love? I guess that is what comes closest.Quote:
Love is a grave mental disease. ~ Plato
Love, the word, in this matter is overrated
Love, the feeling is a mind game. No hearts involved there
Bottom line: if love is a chemical reaction caused by serotonin, dopamine, oxytocin and what else, you can say that reaction is true. Anything that triggers this reaction is relative. Romantics have always known that love is a special sort of chemistry. Scientists are just showing how true that is.Quote:
Love is overated, biochemically identical to eating large quantities of chocolate
aye, weel, ah time for my two pence then?
true love.... och aye.
indeed i've been wi' my fair share o' women an' i must say i loved them all.
now to be serious. in my opinion true love can only exist and one wishes it so. by todays standards it cannot, though this is due to the level of corruption in our times. defined as SbD has done i find that one may choose to believe or not. there will always be those who do and those who cannot fathom it.
lemme guess you get "gout" most of the time?
very valid points and all true
typical bloke answer... yet another view there mate...
now fer my answer ohhh god this can look strange Conrad sorry I am one of those vulgar people and agree with physical intimacy and SbD's opinion but Pure love can too exist as previously stated... but as a teenage male I too see (as no doubt most of you guys have) the :modedit: my generation comes out with "loving" a different person each day and what not they have no idea, hell I have no idea, hell fer that matter no one ha an idea of what it really is... no I can honestly go on and on and on but I wont instead I will finish with this....
Of all you mob out there apart From Conrad (due to his beliefs from what I can gather) no doubt most of you will have had sexual intercourse... the chemicals that have been released sort of well solidify the love between well partner a and partner b (hell now you got me trying to be PI) ok now? and this all reinforces my view which will probably be seen as immature
We all love a good  (heh) and if we get something further out of it then thats a big bonus....
because most people after the first couple times will realise that either they really love this person or they dont and well most of us no matter what even Conrad are products or the former (yes you heard right products we all are everything is!)
if love is to be "true", it must also be unconditional. A true love would be shared by both parties.
both situations that seem immpossible from my expierience.
just an opinion.
True love consists of loyalty and companionship, love isnt something that can be achieved by one person alone, with love between a man and a woman the both of them have to put everything into it, I know that this takes time, they have to experience many things together and they both have to be able to accept the others flaws and love them for/in spite of their flaws. Conrad is right when he says mankind is lascivious and animal-like in nature, most men(women) do not have the sense to even comprehend love, they are too petty and short -sighted. You will find very few men or women who will sacrifice everything for each other. True love is only achieved when you can lay down everything you are for something, whether that be a person or a goal.
Conrad's views on sexual relation however I disagree with and am split upon for some sex can be the ultimate physical and spiritual expression of their love for one another, while you maintain it is animal-like in nature and causes you to lose all of your reason, I maintain that sex without love is just what you claim it to be, but with true love sex is the ultimate fusion of man and woman and the closest you can be to a single union. It is irrational to limit yourself in such a way and maintain such straight-line views when life is never that cut and dry, someone said it earlier, love defies reason.

of corse true love exists! just cause many have not found it and many probably never will does not mean it does not exist.
how else would you explain that there are people out that felt in love when they where teenagers, married, had kids, grandchildren, ups and downs and then and in all that time the grow more and more together... till that day, where one of them pass away. And the other one just sit there and feels so much pain and lost in her heart and such a huge desire to be with this loved person again that it only takes a lil while till the other pass away aswell?
that is true love
but how you ever wanna know what turelove is if you break up too quick when things seam to be a bit complicated?
This society makes it themself ways too easy. in every way!
Again just cause you will not find it does not mean it does not exist. There is alot of examples out there where you can see true love. Grandparents or great grandparents maybe. But ofcorse there are many families that are just fu up and those will never give there children the right stuff on their way to deal with life - and its hard to experience something you never saw before ;)
God bless my great grandparents :)
i believe in true love :)
Just wanted to ask, are you sure this thread doesn't belong in the entertainment forum?
How was the movie? Was it what the commercials advertised? Owait, they never are.
true love is like finding a four leaf clover rarely found by most .
Letter to Juliet is an American Romantic Drama Film. It's story is very interesting and unique. All the character play a perfect role in this movie specially Amanda Seyfried acting is awesome.
