Why is there always one in every crowd? If you took all the ones in every crowd and put them in another crowd, will there be one in that crowd?
Why do we drive on parkways and park on driveways?
What is the speed of dark?
eh?..........
Mice cookies rock! mmmmmmm!
And at $ 12 a pound. mmmmmmmmmmm!
1) "There is one in every crowd." That statement does not exclude the possibility of two. There could be 2 or 3 or 500 in addition to that 1, and thus have a crowd.
2) The term "parkway" goes back to the great depression. In 1931, there was a WPA (Works Project Administration) project called Skyline Drive in the National Park Service's Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. This was a 105 mile road through the national park. The term "parkway" was initially for a long stretch of road that meandered through a park for a beautiful, leisurely drive. The term grew to encompass most long stretches of road that had landscaping around it. The word parkway was used to describe a well developed thoroughfare, complete with trees, grassy divided medians and other landscaping, thus the "park" in the name.
The term "driveway" came about because driveways were initially much longer, leading from the road back to the main house on the property. So initially people really did drive on them. Great houses that needed driveways were not set on the street. You needed a small road to drive back through the property to even reach the home. They were called driveways because they were not an official road, with a street name, yet you drove a fair distance on them.
3) Dark has no speed, the answer is "null" if it is anything. Dark is simply the lack of light. As long as there are no photons of light particles bouncing around an area, then it is "dark."
just by the topic name u sound mean and greedy..............
Why is the man who invests all your money called a broker?
Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called rush hour?
Why isn't there mouse-flavoured cat food?
1) Because they broker transactions for you.
broker |ˈbrōkər|
verb [ trans. ]
arrange or negotiate (a settlement, deal, or plan)
2) That is the time of day that the most people rush to the roads, because it is time for their commute. This rush to the roads will usually cause traffic congestion.
3) Cats catch mice and eat them, because they are a prey of opportunity. Mouse is certainly not a preferred flavor, in fact, most mice killed by cats are not eaten. They leave the corpse usually without eating it, so that is good evidence that cats like killing mice, but not the flavor. Actually cats generally love exotic meats, like zebra and wildebeest. But, since we have a lot more beef chicken and fish, those are the flavors they get. We also control those meats, so that lowers contamination and health risks. There are not mouse farms that breed mice for slaughter and inoculate them against disease.
I knew somebody that worked in a slaughterhouse. I can promise that it is nigh impossible for a mouse to end up in your meat products. But, I cannot make the same promise for pet food (so there may be mouse flavored cat food ;)). Do not eat dog/cat food. It is not completely the beef/chicken/tuna you might think it is. It is also not necessarily the parts of the cow/chicken/fish you might hope they would feed your puppy/kitty.
My friend was very proud of his days in the slaughterhouse. He could gut and clean a pig in 30 seconds.
