Yup, I can't see a reason why anyone should get a redo from a "user-initiated action".

We have all made mistakes while playing evony and have had to live with the results. There is no undo button. Even though abandoning the wrong city is a gigantic mistake, it is still just a player error. Lynx should have to live with his mistakes like the rest of us do. It would be unfair for evony to selectively correct player errors.
I would like my War Ensigns back that I used up after recalling my troops several times trying to time a hit just right not knowing they were being used up even though I recalled the troops. Or please add a DELETE option to protect me from myself.
You're going to restore Atlantis that a player NPC'd? This has to be a joke... Do you understand the precedent you are setting by doing this?
There have been SO MANY Evony players that have lost troops, and HC's because of legitimate Evony bugs, and I've never heard of anyone getting their stuff back. Now you're going to give back someone's city because they made a mistake?
Evony staff, you need to get it together. You guys have a bad reputation as it is. This it just a joke.
Hey guys, welcome to the forums! (and to the guests, join up!)
I don't know what the situation is with your server and Atlantis, and forum mods have no control or access to information because we're not evony employees.
Anyway, whenever there is a drama or an incident like this, people join the forums to figure it out. Now you have made your accounts, please consider yourselves part of our forum community. I'd love to have y'all stick around here and become more active on the forums. Let me know if you have any forum questions or issues and I'll help you out. Also, tell your alliance mates to join up! We are always looking for fresh forum faces.
Good luck on your server and I hope Atlantis gets figured out soon.
Isn't account sharing against the terms of service? all they would have to do is look at the IP address of people that are logged in and you can figure out what city somebody is in. if you see it jumping between cities faster than people could physically move between those cities you know it is a shared account and you can shut it down. Maybe evony doesn't care it appears that they are willing to give (certain) people back things when they made mistakes. I am still waiting on my mil archers to come back from my mistake.
I accidentally spent a lot of money on yhis game. Can I have it back?
Hi everyone. There seems to be a bit of confusion about this based on my previous statement. This does not represent a change in our policy. I can't go into any details except to say that it was not the owner's fault that the city was NPC'd. We would take the same action whether it was atlantis or a level 1 barbarian.
I accidentaly spent money on hh portraits that I was unable to cap before someone else got them.
Money back please!!! :)
PS, I'm logging all my "accidents" from now on, gonna be great knowing Evony has my back when I screw up!!!
sooo, your changing the story about what happened.. Player error is player error...
It should remain an npc
Sorry to keep pushing the issue. but U did state this.. ^ above. and since you, Yourself even states it was a user-initiated action why would u continue to say that u will restore the HC etc. to them If it was a system fault great restore there losses. but it was a "user-initiated action" so why restore it?? The user did it. So I dont see a proper excuse as to why/how evony can legitly restore the HC to them. You say you cant tell us the details well that is good and all. But in the end Ill restate "user-initiated action". Plain and simply put. So still not right.
Can you please show where the policy is that you are following?
Other wise it looks like this is evony helping out one of their employees.
Thats right, player error is player error. You cant tell me that ur not aware of account sharing with Atlantis Evony staff. This alone should invalidate owner claims to atlantis. You dont hesitate to "punish" other players for minor rule infractions. But now u reward those who cheat? What club do I have to be in to get that kind of special treatment?
what was the error you can not post, did his bot malfunction or something?
I think they accidental changed "give user 1 million archers" to "Abandon city"
How can anyone take the Carebears or Evony policy serious anymore with such blatant cheating?
No more coining for me, and this is my last server. Evony is a joke.
Unfortunately, unless the Evony team is willing to disclose exactly what this user-initiated error entailed and why it is deserving of a reset when many EVONY initiated errors are reported and the affect people are told "too bad" there is no avoiding the fact that it smacks of favoritism and will cost the developers money.
After all, players spend money with the expectation of receiving a well defined advantage, and this action devalues that investment at a stunning rate.
Okay here's the lowdown. When we got this report of Atlantis being a NPC, there were initially reports of other historic cities being NPCs as well. Thus, I incorrectly assumed that an error on our side had caused a problem. That was my fault, and I'm sorry about that.
It turns out that the problem was unique to Atlantis and was related to something the player had done, not a database error. Thus we are fixing the problem. The player did not accidentally abandon the city or anything of that nature. If that had happened, we wouldn't be fixing it.
I am now going to close this thread to make sure this response is seen, and to prevent further negative and/or insulting posts.
