If I was a spender I would go to the high medal drop server and then buy other things to save money.
thats wht Aetius trying to say.... u dont need to spend money on medals on old severs.... like me... i never use to buy medal box... every time i made purchase i buy Excalibur,Teleporter, etc.. no medals...
and right the truth is WN1 needed to be merged idk y Envoy team delaying that... makeing new servers get u new players but old players defiantly leave
if WMDElite Vs WMDRecon war didnt happen then i can also say bye to game at this time...now just thinking if merge didnt happed i bet on that 50% of old players will left game from wn1
they need to think
neko, you have a very negative attitude a "no cant do" attitude. I mentioned in my very first post that on "old" servers you can make prinzz in 1 week, never thinking that someone ---> neko, would question that statement, since it was obvious how you can do it ... to me and many experienced players. Right after you questioned my statement, in my very SECOND post I gave full disclosure on how you CAN do it.
After that you dug in and became entrenched, repeating the same "no disclosure" argument, even after i dismantled it. You must understand no one here is going out of his/her way to deceive YOU, one statement (my first post) that was meant to be helpful for many EXPERIENCED players and that any noob now understands as well after my second post, you turned out into a debate with no point other that showing you total lack of game knowledge (after 23 months) but also complete refusal to seek answers and to accept other more experienced players shared knowledge.
This is the main reason your game knowledge has not advanced far enough in 23 months so that you can take my initial statement on face value, and instead trying to look for unicorns and hobbits.
About starting on "new" servers, my experience shown me that a "new" server gets "old" in about 3 months, after that all you are left with is an overcrowded, established alliances that control every state, full valleys ... and on top of it, low medal drop rate.
Regards,
Aetius
Neko, medals are not as impossible on the newer servers as you seem to think. A member of my alliance farmed 7 rose medals yesterday on 149.
I spend $30 a month, not exactly a major coiner. Half of that goes to buying excalibers, and most of the other half (in the past months at least) went to buying adv teleports to position cities where I wanted them... and being female this means changing my mind and moving them yet again the next month lol. I bought my way to major/baronet, because quite frankly I have no desire to farm rose medals, I agree they suck.
I farmed my way to furstin, and I am 13 justice medals short of prinzessin now. I would have it already if I cared to hurry. I spend maybe two hours a week farming for medals and have not spent more time on it than that since I was an earl.
If you have no nearby forests and are not willing to steal from a player, take one and mail the owner that he can have your forest at xxx,yyy and you needed THIS one for farming medals.
Every single person in my alliance agrees, medals on 149 are far more plentiful than medals were on their previous server.
edit -
To the OP, I think people don't start on the old ones because the gap is SO VERY wide and daunting for new folks to try out. My 10 year old son likes to play, but he's very casual and not exactly "good" at the game. He plays on the older servers. The alliances were so happy to see fresh faces and blood that they recruited him immediately, poured resources to him endlessly, and treat him like a king. Greys and even reds near him ignore him and let him build... granted he's small and not a threat, I assume they would notice him if he were growing fast. I think everyone's just so comfortable and lazy now with their bot doing the farming while they wait on a merge or challenge to come along, that they don't even notice he exists.
As I have said, many people, and I mean MANY people, will not have the friends on the old servers to accomplish that though. You can pat yourself on the back for your wisdom, but the reality remains that only a select few will be able to do what you're saying. Your post, however, made it appear as though the vast majority of the players could easily do this...
How exactly do you propose Joe Schmoe that knows nobody on any of the 10 remaining servers that have the higher drop rates come up with that pre-fab situation?
Look up the term "misrepresentation"...
Yep, because if you misrepresent something, then it is possible you misrepresent other things.Quote:

One more time, with feeling:Quote:

What you're talking about is only applicable to a select few individuals. Most players are not going to be able to do that. You making it seem that it's ultra-easy is a misrepresentation, and I'm just pointing out that misrepresentation.
Good for them. Someone in my own alliance went on and on and on about how easy it was for them to find Rose medals, but they already had 5 cities. I too one time, months ago, happened to stumble across 3 Rose medals in a day.
What you and others don't seem to understand is that those are the EXCEPTIONS, not the rule.
Then why tell me that they're so easy, and then in the very next breath tell me that you didn't go through what I went through because you avoided the whole thing?????????Quote:

That's part of my issue with Aetius, is that on the one hand, people say that it's so easy to do so and so, but on the other hand, the person making that claim may or may not disclose that they have caveats to the situation that enabled them to sidestep the large amount of work that someone who didn't buy the medal boxes or have premade cities is going to have to grind through before they can even think about attempting to do what you can do because you had help, either monetary contributions or assistance from others.
Nooo, I've never said it's easy to do, I simply mean it's not AS IMPOSSIBLE as you make it out to be. You and I have posted back and forth on this same subject before, and you can find the post there where I also said rose medal farming sucks. You don't have to read everything everyone types so literally. We're having a conversation, not a debriefing at Homeland Security.
Just because I find something doable doesn't mean I find it easy. I don't think it's easy to maintain upkeeps for millions of troops, but it's doable. I don't think it's easy to convert a npc10 to an iron city, but it's doable. It's just a matter of what you're willing to do to get the job done.
The guy that farmed 7 rose medals yesterday was captain/knight with 2 cities, btw.
As I have said, I'm at Colonel/Viscount right now.
I *NEVER* said that it was "impossible" to get out of the Rose Trap. I did, however, say that you needed to either buy the medal boxes (you took that option), win cents or boxes on the wheel, or be left alone for long enough. That "long enough" phase is generally 2-3 months. Mine became about 4 months because of other real life priorities.
...and like I just said, just because I find something difficult doesn't mean I find it impossible... :)Quote:

Again, those are the exceptions, not the rule. There will indeed be days that things go well. I was cruising along fairly well until the time that all the flats were taken by flat-fillers, and the lakes were taken to boost food production. Once there were no flats available and fewer lakes available, the frequency of finding Rose medals went down dramatically.Quote:

Oh, and I had to drop my second city because a hostile alliance's player did a flat filling thing and appeared 1.4 miles away from me after I tried to get it from another player in a friendly alliance. I made the mistake of not exiting the alliance and taking it from him with a scout, as he had mentioned he thought I should do. Within 3 minutes of the Friendly letting go of the flat, the flat-filler account was made, restarted, and the hostile ported in on top of me and had already scouted both cities.
Another thing I've found, and this is in broad terms, not directed at anyone specifically in this thread, is that many who espouse great knowledge and have these large egos about their in-game prowess, have involved themselves in these rule-breaking tactics, although I guess I could say that they're no longer rules due to lack of enforcement.
My issue with all of this "it's so easy" stuff is that sure, it's easy if you get to take shortcuts, but it's not so easy if you play the game from ground up without spending cash or getting other large amounts of assistance and/or without doing or indirectly benefitting from various "rule" violations.
i agree with "neko"
the treasure, (madels etc) are really getting more hard and hard by the passing of time and increasing of peoples..
i myself hit alomost 30-35 np'c per day for food (lvl5's and lvl10's), but found not any single medal till now.
and when i was in building process and needed Michelangelo scripts, they were not available to me though that time i was farming around 10-15 per day
but after taking couple of cities from others members which no need of these scripts.. evony gave me these scripts and atm i am having around 20..
same like for other things
