I wish I had your optimism Dame Definition. Astronomical debt, three ongoing wars, restrictive regualtions strangling entrepeneurship and small business, raising the debt ceiling, IOU's out the wingwang, an uninformed unconcerned weary populous, going 'green', the interest on the debt so large it eclipses gross domestic production.
All of that mixed plus add you own ingredients is soup for disaster.
the gals and guys at the S&P aint no dummies. they just dont go around and lay an egg for the thrill of it. The problem is apathy, to me the only solution is to do away with the fedres, and back the dollar with a commodities standard.
just a thought
The worrying thing, perhaps the most worrying thing is this.
Last time there was a depression this big, it took a war to bring economy and employment back to previous levels. At least, in countries like Britain and America it did. The other thing that brought other countries back was extreme parties, whether it was Fascist (Germany, Italy) or Socialist (Soviet Union).
That's my understanding of it, anyway. That might not be 100% correct, but it's close :) I think :)
For me, that's quite scary, don't you think?
I got no relationship with any finance but did you make that dollar ?
It looks awsome *cheers mate*
