If the ~21 players who spent $30k on their star sets did so because of a flawed star system that never intended players to spend $30k.. then it would be OK to adjust the flaws. And by doing so the few who spent the $30k may have an argument for a refund.
The other argument is that in business prices change. When something is hot and new it costs more. After time the price drops. Supply/Demand stuff. When the hot new computer comes out it costs alot. Then after some time the price drops. When VCR's first came out they cost ALOT. Then after a while they were dirt cheap. You did not have to run out and buy the first VCR and spend $3k on it just so you could have it before everyone. Those who waited a while got a much better deal.
Nobody is saying you HAVE to spend the $30k. It was your choice to do so just like the VCR. And what is more, you KNOW this game is not perfect and has bugs and other issues. So if you spent that money assuming the star system worked perfectly then that was your bad, not Evonys. And if Evony needs to update things, which is normal in the world of software because code is never perfect, does that mean customers are entitled to refunds each time there is an update?
So don't get angry if Evony updates the star system. You were the one who ran out and paid $30k. Just because you ran out and paid it does not mean things can't change.
