I really don't see what the fuss is about. She's got boy hips. I don't like girls with boy hips. A broad should be broad.
I was raised and worked a large part of my adult life around animals, race horses mainly (standardbreds). Breaking young colts and fillies is not for the faint of heart, I can tell you. To say nothing of handling stallions in the breeding shed... I like to think I'm not overly squeamish or 'bleeding heart' regarding treatment to animals.
That being said, I NEVER have, and NEVER will, condone needless cruelty to animals. Except for total idiots, no one with any extensive experience in handling animals, specially mammals, does. I quite understand the value of cultural differences and their traditional manifestations. Indeed, being part of a small french community tucked in a corner of a vast Anglo-Saxon continent, I very much understand and cherish such things. But that's exactly it, you see... I understand the value of cultural traditions and the social reflexes involved in keeping them alive. None of that outweighs barbarity.
Wildor, I need your insight into French women (not Quebecoise).
By reputation they are exteremely high maintenance.
I have found no problem with the initial chase and they all are only too willing to put out pretty early on (first date in most cases), only after a few weeks/months/years they go cold on me.
At first I assumed I may be lacking somewhat in a certain area so spent the afternoon on a nudist beach in the Ile de Re and was able to rule that out. So I got in to conversation with other ex pat guys in Paris and they all told me that they experience similar problems.
French women make demands. Lots of them and they expect to have attention lavished on them without being over the top or obsessed. It is a fine line to tread.
So do you have any tips you can pass on? I have tried Marseillaise, Parisienne, Lyonaise and they all do the same.
I am about to lose copine Francaise no.6, only this time she is getting me served with court summons, demanding that I give her the house I live in and pay maintenance on the two enfants I fathered with her?
Why can't French women be simple and uncomplicated like their Anglo Saxon cousins?
Some more questions:
Why does the sat nav when I switch it to French Canadian aggravate French speakers so much?
Why is the price of beer so cheap in the supermarkets in France and then like 5x the price in bars?
Why is it that the French are all so convinced that their society, laws education and way of doing everything is superior to how things are elsewhere in the world? Where does this arrogance/false pride stem from?
How is it that the French national team are world class and yet the French league with the exceptions of O'L and O'M is 2nd rate?
Lastly do you know where I can get a good steak tartare but made from horse meat? I have been told it is the best but have only ever had the pleasure of eating the beef one.
Which set of girls are more freakish, American or French?
Oooooookay...
Fear not. This is not due to any shortcomings on your part. Simply, French women (both from France and Quebec) have espoused the tenets and attitudes of the women's liberation's movement more broadly and to a somewhat further extent than their aglo-saxon counterparts. I am of course speaking generally here. But I feel this observation to be correct.
Bluntly put, French women know of their powers and are not afraid to use them. They will take the initiative and an at least equal position in their relationships these days. The passive model is seriously outmoded.
All of which is fine by me. As a man of my generation, I was raised at a time when women's awareness of their need to liberate first became widely accepted, and have always felt the inherent fairness of the position.
I am not blind enough to ignore the larger social issues this development has consequenced. But this place is probably not the right one to hold a larger, potentially explosive debate on the matter. :D
I've never eaten horse meat (at least to my knowledge) and I don't intend to. Ever.
Sorry.
(Edit): Ooops! Sorry about the botched quoting job.
He's like 17/18.
Unfortunately Raster he's 13/14 and sometimes makes you want to strangle HIM?! IT?! HER?!
Oh.
Well.....ok.
