France is pretty awesome.
French culture inseminated the fertile womb of every good idea modern man has ever had, giving birth to only greater and more fantastically productive/helpful/fruitful results.

Dear Ask A Frenchman,
I'm an English girl, and my question is two fold.
Part A) why does French have so many 'extra' letters?
part B) do you think that the musical quality of your native language comes from the complex rules about how to pronounce it, when to say the letters at the beginning and endings of words so that each thought flows like water from the speakers lips. or from the sentence structure that places the important content at the fore of each thought with the descriptors following after like good little ducklings follow their mother.
Appendixed question) is my rudimentary understanding of your language enough to ask my question properly?
Dear Wildor,
You once mentioned that the concept of a balance of powers arose during the reign of the Bourbon monarch Louis XIII with the foreign policy of his chief minister Cardinal Richelieu. However, I disagree with such an assessment. In my mind, the first modern policy of a balance of powers occurred in Renaissance Italy through the diplomatic efforts of the Duke of Milan and condottiere Francesco Sforza. I believe that the specific example of the Peace of Lodi in 1454 CE is the first modern example of a treaty whose primary concern was the maintenance of an established peace through an arrangement of balanced states. In this general equilibrium, a balance of powers was maintained between the five leading Italian states of the Venetian Republic, the Duchy of Milan under the Sforza, Florence under the Medici, the Papal States and the Aragonese Kingdom of Naples. The equilibrium in the Italian Peninsula that arose from the Peace of Lodi brought forty years of relative peace between the five premier Italian states. Eventually, the Peace of Lodi was abrogated in 1494 CE with the French invasion of the Italian Peninsula by King Charles VIII. The invasion of Charles VIII plunged Italy into a bitter and ruinous conflict for hegemony that lasted from 1494-1559 CE. With the Treaty of Cateau-Cambresis in 1559 CE, the French were permanently expelled from Italy leading to the complete domination of the Italian Peninsula by the Spanish Habsburgs.
In conclusion, what is your opinion on this matter? Do you agree with my assessment?
