I have always felt that NOW is a great time to drink.

:D Love this topic, Raster
Okay, so all through the work week, I am a big talker...can be heard saying, 'Arrrrgh! I sure could use a Bloody Mary...with salt!' @ say...6:20am-ish? Come mid day and several contributing stressful factors later, I move on to my voddy/pineapple dreams. I get home? I look at the alcohol, and that's about the extent of my drinking during the work week. Occasionally, will I enjoy cool, refreshing drinks on hot, HOT afternoons preceded by an awfully crazy, busy day. But otherwise, that pending doom of having to get up at gawd awful hours in the AM keeps me from over-indulging in my 80 proof.
Now? Take a nice week long camping trip? Dont be surprised to see my rowdy group crackin into that 18-pk at around 10am...with that all too familiar phrase pouring from our lips: 'It's Beer:30 SOMEWHERE!!' :D
Those who eat/sleep/dream/crave drinking know no time. Those of us who ponder time constraints of entertaining thoughts of throwin back a few, really? Shouldnt worry bout the time either. Just typin that all out loud.
You can be our greasy anytime of the day!! After all...who are WE to judge??
Age 12 sounds good to me. Haven't stopped since.
I feel ya there, it's nothing to ride around and see kids sixteen or seventeen drinking and driving with a dip in and a cigarette hangin' out the window.
But but but drinking on rainy days is more fun, as you have less to do!
Lmao part time my arse.
Yep yep! That sums it up!
Its never an acceptable time to stop drinking.
What time is it acceptable to start drinking? When im thirsty thats when
Spam bots..gotta love em
All i have to say is - bad thing bout drinking = hangovers. You don't get a hangover if you don't stop drinking.
:) Agreed.

i'm CHANGING THE TOPIC OF THIS THREAD to....
WHAT DO YOU DRINK?
I'm a beer fan mostly. Hoppy things like Sierra Nevada and Stone, IPAs and 2x IPAs are deliciously irresitable to me. But lately I've been drinking liquor for two very important reasons:
a) It makes me less fat.
b) All these liquor companies are doing promotional deals where you do the rebate mail in thingy. $3-10 off a bottle. I bought a $24.99 handle of Russian vodka on sale for $19.99 with a TEN DOLLAR mail in rebate. $4.99 for a handle of good vodka that's rediculous.
But I like juice and mixing it. I don't take shots often unless they're free or lil'shooters I make. Like grape juice and brandy or mango and vodka. I'm a sucker for rum and cokes too. Screw Captain Morgan though, Ron Diaz all the way. $14.99 for a handle of that (sometimes there is even a $5 mail in rebate!). Vodka, I typically only purchase two brands: Fris and Svedka. Both are $18-21 a handle (and sometimes there is even a $5 mail in rebate too! But mostly for Fris, Svedka rarely does. I keep orange, pineapple, grapefruit, some sort of berry mix and sweetened lime juice on hand at all times and have never run out of options.
I'm thinking about giving gin another try soon. I hear it's a very forgiving liquor.
i drink Pepsi :D
That's a lame reply.
This thread is doomed.
Close it now, SbD.
EDIT: Or wait, don't close it! I'm just drunk.
Your wish is my command.
Gah, we don't I get that kinda deals over here?
BTw, I am a vodka (Russian Standard,Effen -dutch, but awesome vodka,Reyka, Ketel One, Stolichnaya Elit) & cocktails & shot drinker.
Oh and foreign beers, or just Heineken. Honestly.. I pretty much drink everything. I like a nice rose or merlot at dinner.. a little white chocolate liquor in my coffee every now and then, a cold beer when I get home from work on a hot day.
I am a semi-alcoholic I believe :D
Gin & juice, very nice too :)
I'm a Jack and Coke girl. Granted I haven't experienced many different drinks, but I really like Jack and Coke's
Gimme just about anythin and I'll knock it back :p
Luda, why did you link to all those vodkas? Any half serious drinker knows them. And I promise you Fris and Svedka can stand up to ALL of them. And it's more modestly priced. Do it, c'mon buy one of them next time. I bet you think it won't be as good so you buy one just to prove me wrong.
I never buy Effen but I worked at a bar/sushi/restaurant/night club in San Diego a few years ago and they had some Effen promotional lady come in and give away free shots and shooters and mixed drinks and merchandise to all the employees that the manager called and told to come in 3 hours early.
It was fantastic. I woke at 10 AM up to my phone ringing telling me they needed me at work in 2 hours, which was strange because the restaurant didn't open until late afternoon/early evening. So I drove downtown and found a free parking spot for once and went into work thinking I had to wait for another CEO luncheon type thing only to find the GM, the floor manager, the head waitress, head bar tender and 3-4 other employees of the restaurant just kicking back and laughing talking to some super skinny super attractive blonde PR lady from some liquor distributor. I think they only had regular and black cherry out at the time, but she made us all 3-4 drinks, gave us all some crap...I got a ton of pens, couple shot glasses and then a half size lil'itty bitty drink shaker. I loved that thing with all my heart until someone stole it from me just last year.
And then I got to go home and lay on the beach and build a bonfire 'cause they didn't ever really need me they just wanted me to come join the fun.
Oh god no.
There are many vodkas that will not do. They have different names throughout the world but .... *shudders*
they are terrible. Aristocrat, Bartons, Popov, Wolfschmidt...those mofos. They smell like garbage, they taste overpoweringly like poorly distilled spirits, and they leave the most excruciating hang overs.
Now, vodka isn't scotch. But the bad vodkas are so bad they are just so bad.
