A new study show that people who use Internet Explorer have a lower IQ then people who use other browsers.

I think that says it, really. Just because you have the statistics does not automatically support a conclusion. You seem to want to say that using other browsers makes you smarter, or maybe that smarter people choose not-IE, because it's a "smarter" choice or whatever.
But... there's a lot off variables not taken into account. I think an equally-valid conclusion that you haven't been looking for might be that these browsers are simply perceived as better choices. Then people who fancy themselves smart because of a high IQ score or such choose them to support their own perception of being smart.
For the record though, I do have Firefox. But only because I like Firefox. Not because I think it makes me smarter. -.-
(Wow, just noticed something. The spell check thingie on Firefox? It flags "firefox" (no caps) as spelled incorrectly. Guess they want to make sure you capitalize it or something. XD)

I only use IE when there's no other browser to use, which generally only happens on new/refreshly rebooted computers. This is of course a very temporary situation.

I also have Safari installed on my computer, but I have never really used it.
The only two browsers I use are Firefox and Chrome. I actually prefer Firefox, but Chrome seems to work better for me which is why I use it most of the time.
I asked a few (older) persons who use IE, why don't you switch to another browser?
Answer was, they were all too used to IE (which comes pre-installed on windows machines) to change.
Personally? I used IE, firefox, chrome, opera and safari. Each one using a different proxy so I can bypass download websites "Download Limit Reached!"/"Your IP is already downloading a file.." messages.
My favorite, however, is definitely Firefox (loaded with a good amount of add-ons, such as greasemonkey, stylish & others to make the interface look sleek & more modern [no title bar, for example]).
I uses both Chrome and Firefox. While I have used IE, Opera, and Safari, I greatly prefer Chrome to the others. There are certain websites, those who I have a toolbar for, that I use Firefox for. Other than that I find that Chrome is faster, and more simple.
I use Chrome because the startup time of Firefox is a displeasure.
I found that in my computer's case that Chrome is all around faster, but my computer is fairly slow.
At work I use IE. Because I can't download another.

Just out of curiosity did anyone notice the poll %'s don't add up to 100 but to 192.69.
Anyway I use chrome primarily, I think your statistics are a bit wrong since IE is the default browser, every single person who brought a computer but did not use it enough to realize that there are other browsers out there is lumped into the IE group. A better poll would be to give a thousand people a day on all of the different browsers and then ask them which one they preferred and then applying their IQ's into the equation.

IE is laggy for evony, and Firefox is opening in 20 seconds and i have lags in evony too.
Primarily Chrome, here. We do have FF just for some things, but my comp just handles Chrome much easier.
I used IE for a very long time before switching over to FireFox, mostly because of laziness. IE worked just fine for what I used it for an I felt no need to switch. When I did switch to FireFox it was like being reborn, the browser was better in every single way. I eventually switched over to Chrome, which I like even better and use to this day, because of the start-up time of FireFox.

I can't remember which(or how many) magazine(s)/site(s) I read that stated, with proven statistics and video (side-by-side comparison), that Chrome was the fastest browser, by a notable margin. IE has that GIANT space of uselessness at the top that I can't f:modedit:n stand. Firefox has a similar unwanted space. Opera, is like Chrome, only not as fast.
On the rare occasions when Chrome doesn't function as desired, I fall back to the frustratingly sluggish and cluttered IE.
I looked at this study and If i recall correctly, IE users on average had an IQ in the low to mid 80's, why that would make them border line unable to cope in society. There was also nice little quote I read in a response from the author of the report which went something like, 'a win in court will give the report more crediablity' - from a repsonse from a IE group. I think the reports crediablity itself is summed up from author. It was a little bit of fun, but that's it.
Oh, and to correct those who say the numbers do not add up in the forum poll - you can choose more than one option...

Comodo Dragon > all. Internet Explorer is... annoying, to say the least. Chrome is fairly fast and has Angry Birds as a free app. :D
In Firefox, you usually have to use cntrl x,c,v; in order to cut, copy, paste on Evony and many other flash applications, its a goofy glitch but the mouse click just don't do it.Quote:
