Well every time something gets changed the chanting starts of how "this is unfair, it's going to ruin my game" etc. I don't agree with the timing, Evony's methods have a lot to be desired, after all this is a bug that's allowed to remain for over 2 years. They can't argue that they didn't know about it, however they have given us plenty of warning that they intend to fix it.
As for the reps stating it was a legal move unless it's been written down in a PM or personal email to certain players I have never seen such a statement here in the forums. I know I said it might have been legal because I seriously thought it was but it seems that I and a few others were wrong.
If they come up with a way of making the city transfer between allies as simple as the Trojan allows then I really can't see how it will increase multi accounting. Actually the Trojan already allows players to keep "extra" cities squirreled away in alts for them to move in to to attack a red flag when ever they want. Seen that happen a few times. They also use them to build up res and therefore instant war city loaded up with food.
Quite confused with some of the points made on this..
+rep to awesome just because i like the quotes in your sig.
- It already happens.
- Well the only way to stop spies is to stop alt accounts altogether and we all know how hard they are to police.
- What I meant was you already have a city stocked up with food so it saves the transportation. All you need do is move your troops in to, a time saver so to speak. Also can save you teleports.
One the suggestions that acer has put forward is that an ally would have to "accept" any reinforcements. Meaning no one can sneak troops in.
I have to agree with there. I need a drink.
first their is the sheer joy I make a post that asks a simple yes or no question gets a clear answer no on the first page then it goes on for 6 pages lamo.
I get swared at :modedit::modedit: out so bad posts have to be taken down. :flame:
but on to the specific points
if you dont notice the food increase you suck:
well no not really if we are talking age 2 you advance tell right next to them the catapults will be there in 5 minutes and once they arrive you scout wave will get there in like 12 second if you are 1 or 2 miles away so the player would have 12 seconds to:
1 notice the food increase
2 say wth
3 check their facebook buff cheek their troops check there embassy
4 say why are their 9 reinforcements
5 say ha ha cool they are all cataputs
6 remember this bug exists and click the button
that is a lot to do i 12 seconds
True he will have 5 minutes to see a green flag port next to him and check that odd ball page of reports to see what his allies are sending him but again 5 minutes.
for age 1 you cannot use advance teles like that but you can use random porters like that and scouts in the same state going 50 miles do not take more then 5 minutes or so.
and I think those 6 steps are a lot to do in 5 or even 15 minutes there are all kinds of wacky things that effect food consumption in this game and if some one has 10 cities and is queing up the barracks of all ten cities it takes 30m-1h hour just to do you ques lower production appoint attack hero que the rack appoint pol hero raise production to 100 send out your 10 farming runs move to the next city get started... wait a minute why is my food production -40 million...
:attack:
boom all dead
the solution to this problem is to keep you embassy gates closed or have 0 recruitment in your alliance those are not things the developers would like to have. They will reduce life on the servers.
my bigger question is how will evony put things back to normal. the queen issue was simple enough take away the extra queens give the old ones back. Cities have been lost to this on all servers massive battles have happened how do you undo a Battle of 5 million archers and 1 million catapults and the transfer of a major city level 16 city and a few hero's just any major players city in age 1 to you put these cities back often when the new owner spent money on them. I suspect evony will just say no more the bug is fixed.
