Maturity...when does it really happen?
I've often wondered this question to myself. When is one considered 'mature'?
When does this change happen?
How does it happen?
Why does it happen?
When I was 13, I thought I was pretty mature. Then when I was getting near 15, I thought, "wow, I can't believe what I was like back then, how did people put up with me? I can't believe I even thought I was mature..." and at that point I truly am mature.
Now I'm 16, getting close to 17. I think exactly the same thing. Perhaps to a less degree, but still the same thing. Sure, I became more mature, but I still doubt I would consider myself mature back then. The same applies to now.
I don't doubt for a second that we can always learn new things, and have new experiences, and so on, but at what point, or what makes a person mature? I am quite interested in hearing some opinions from the community on this. I'm sure everyone has a different defintion of maturity, whether it be a big, or small difference.
