I just reread that thread (that soon will become explosive), and noticed that little mistake.
In suppression and uprise battles the fortifications is ignored.
This accounted though when someone attack your colonized city. But he will fight with your suzerain troops also. There more details, like hero and research in that type of attack, research will be same as colonized city, all do the as named in that forum "colonization backdoor" method, well explained by Domi somewhere (things that show me he know age I also, there if you reinforce an alli, your troops will have same research like the city reinforced) .

So, if you want use fortifications like that 1 trap, try win your first colonize battle.
I wish to have at least 1k AT in all japanpimp reports, but unfortunately not, even that not change the start battle range, because presence of ballis and/or pults.

In uprise battles wall defenses are ignored as Un3x said.
The only way they are counted in an uprise battle is if a "back door" attack is used. But a back door attack or "trojan horse" is a glitch/bug and Evony said they will change it in the future so it does not work.
When I do uprise battles my goal is not to win. My goal is to kill troops and remain a colony. Also, I do not like to do battles that rely on glitches and bugs to help give me an advantage. That is childish.

Yes sry about that little mess up, I quit evony a couple months back and was never big into colonizing so I overlooked that little detail, sowy :(
And JP you and I have very different views of a good battle, that 549k pike and 549k sword hit brought tears to my eyes, not tears of joy might I add.

Last time I had similarly increased kills, maybe JP not only lost his life bonus but got his atk nerfed a bit aswell.

I can expain it. There is a curve that is happening. That curve is based on a magic number that I told Un3x about. That magic number changes based on certain conditions.
Leadership multiplies that magic number.
Bonuses, hero attributes (attack, politic, intel) are all influened by this magic number.
Leadership adds a multiplier in the magic number. This creates a exponential curve in power (hero attributes and bonuses).

For example:
Let's say the magic number for player A is 113 and 542 for player B.
Also, Player A had a normal hero with 100 leadership.
Player B has a HH with 250 leadership.

113 x Leadership = 113 (Player A)
542 x Leadership = 1,355 (Player B)
Player B is going to be about 12 times more powerful than player A.
Now, if Player B had a normal L100 hero then it would be:
542 x Leadership = 542 (Player B)
So if Player B used a normal hero than Player B would be 4.7 times more powerful than Player A.

Now, if Player A and Player B both had equal magic numbers BUT different heros it will look like:
Player A 300 magic number x 100 Leadership = 300
Player B 300 magic number x 250 leadership = 750
In that case, based on hero leadership alone, Player B will be 2.5 times more powerful than Player A.

This is the curve. And it is why there are huge gaps between players and army power.

It also means that a HH with 250 leadership and 100 magic number will have the same power as a normal hero with 100 leadership and 250 magic number.....
We can do a simple test to confirm.

Let's see how the curve concept works...
Player A: 250 magic, 100 leadership = 250 total power
Player B: 100 magic, 250 leadership = 250 total power

Player A 300 magic, 100 leadership = 300 total power
Player B 150 magic, 250 leadership = 375 total power

Player A 350 magic, 100 leadership = 350
Player B 200 magic, 250 leadership = 500

Notice how the curve is happening based soley on leadership.

Now let's do same leadership:
Player A: 250 magic, 100 leadership = 250 total power
Player B: 100 magic, 100 leadership = 100 total power

Player A 300 magic, 100 leadership = 300 total power
Player B 150 magic, 100 leadership = 150 total power

Player A 350 magic, 100 leadership = 350
Player B 200 magic, 100 leadership = 200

Player A 200 magic, 100 leadership = 200
Player B 500 magic, 100 leadership = 500

We just need to do some tests so we know the right leadership multiplier based on the magic number. Tests will tell us what the leadership multiplier is.

JP if thats true then why are some pvp reports able to be calced to the last unit and some aren't? If for ex. You had 100k warriors in a city and I sent 100k warriors at you based on all the info I would be able to tell you exactly how many died each side. If the battle gets more complex it gets increasingly difficult, it may mean there is a missing factor that we don't know about but a magic multiplier seems too far fetched. If there is a magic multiplier then we should never be able to calculate the simplest of Pvp battles but we can.

The number is not magic, everyone can know it. I say it is a magic number because it is my secret. I only told un3x so we can test it. But I am almost 100% certain of how the curve works.
So if you want to build an accurate battle calculator then it would require the user to enter magic number AND leadership on both sides. But, in many cases the user will not know the opponents magic number. That number is key to being able to accurately calculate things.

Lol JP this talk of "secret" magic numbers has aroused my interest.

Un3x does JP's theory hold any water?, You don't have to tell me the magic number :D
Oh and JP do you have a way of determining this magic number? Or will it remain secret forever?

Wont be secret forever. We just need to test it.
Basically, we need to establish that for every increase of say, 10 magic number points the player recieves a 1% bonus (just an example)
We need to find the relationship between magic number and bonus. Then establish the effect leadership levels have on the bonus. Once we do players can do exact calculations in Age 2 for any circumstance.
