now remeber you get one express tele per city so max out on cities even if they are just npcs
that way you can tele onto a level 5 flat or level ten flat that way you dont have to wait a week for the flat to level back up
cause when you use the free port it locks you down for 24 hours
or you can just npc the city again and use the free port to cap and port out a junk city by where ever you go
but remember they are only good for 7 days then they are gone
Im pretty sure this has been suggested before.. But here it is again just for arguments sake. Is there any way you guys can put cities on the server as the players log in?
IE Billy can exist in the stats of ss63, but his cities won't be randomly placed on the map until he logs in for the first time.
Shannon logs in to ss63 right away, so her cities are randomly scattered around the map and she gets prime choice of where to tele. She also doesn't have all sorts of inactives clouding her farm fields.
I've admitted before that I'm no computer programmer, but I image you could do something like compressing the players info to .ZIP files, and it is extracted when they log in. This would save precious space on your servers, and on our maps, without violating your agreement that accounts which have coined will not be deleted.
The fact that Age 1 can be merged is a huge advantage over age 2 the only reason why I moved over to age 2 is that, I don?t have to worrying about troops leaving for not having enough food in the cities as I found it hard to keep up with demand and not having facebook so you could accept gifts.
They will eventually do something with age2 if they get down too low. I doubt they would willingly let a server die out on any age. That's a loss of profits and a bunch of unhappy players. The good part about age2 is that a person can build an account up to top level in a week provided they get enough resources and spend some cash. Heroes top out at 100-150, which is easily achieved in a week, star levels are gained quickly through coining (I managed lvl 7+ everything with 300 cents). Essentially, by spending $30 and some time, you can be equal with everyone else very quick..
A number of people have quit over the last months and more are moving to a new server as they have given up on the server that they were on. But if a merge was ever considered for age 2, there would be a number of issues with Historic cities and Historic hero?s, but it would be total carnage if it was done.
Even if they did merge them it would take, way too long to be done. I originally came from server 129, it?s taken about a year for Evony to merge that server.
:( *sigh* why did 144 get pass up why couldn't we merge with s146 and s147 ... fyi evony 144 needs it just as bad !! lol
So once again wn1-wn4 are left out. We were the first servers to be merged and the last this time when some servers have had 3 merges.
You talk about servers and how you determined when a server needs a merge but on all 4 servers you have no more then 400 active members on each of the 4 servers. The rest 90% are Alts and Bots plain and simple.
P.S. September 1, 2009 is the date of the last merge for WN1. each of the WN'S got a merge 1 week after each other.
