How do you like your meat cooked? You can choose multiple options.
medium rare and medium well :D
It depends on the cut and type of meat.
This poll is flawed.
Medium Rare... of course I like rare, but it has to be warm enough in temp. lol
I'm vegetarian too :D
in fact.. never eaten meat or fish in my life..
hmm... Vallilla Fudge
I like my meat completely raw. Especially pork and chicken. Or burnt. Take your pick.
Except, for my dad, burnt and completely blackened...."It's not burnt, it's just well done."
People seriously like raw meat...
I have only been vegetarian for a little more than a year. I understand the upside to meat's consumption. It is positive in most aspects. Unfortunately my personal pereferences get in the way of me eating it, it's as simple as that. I don't hope to convert meat eaters to vegetarians, nor do I think my actions will change the way we raise and harvest our meats, but this doesn't change the fact that I am not personally ok with eating something raised under unnecessarily cruel conditions and slaughtered in equally unnecessarily inhumane manners.
Now, meat is healthy for the most part and I understand it's importance in our diet. However, it is not vital or essential in anyway. It contains no unique nutrient that can't be attained by other means.
So yeah.
For the most part I don't eat meat like steak, but if by some miracle I should happen to be craving it, it must be extra well done aka no blood in sight.
Same goes for burgers which I don't feel as icky eating.
Edit: SbD, if that's why you don't feel comfortable eating meat, have you ever thought maybe trying organic? Many supermarkets sell organic meats which is basically the animal being raised on a farm (not the slaughter house type farms but real farms)
Yes I have. Unfortunately organic food is expensive on a regular basis, so until I have more means to afford it I'm vegetarian! Hehe.
The only downside to organic food is that it is entirely inefficient.. More expensive, takes more land and more time.. It's being between a rock and a hard place.
Yea this is very true! I tried going full organic for a while an then realized my fund were drifting way quickly. lol
Medium-Rare if I eat steaks... I rarely eat beef, dont eat pork, rarely eat sea-food. I mostly eat organic chicken or turkey and of course it has to be fully cooked. (This is all with the exception of sushimi) :)
Medium/Medium-Well Done.
burnt and smothered in gravy, the only way to eat a steak :D
Never get Well Done as they use the toughest meat for Well Done. I like Medium
Raw--I'll only do that with ultra-fresh sushi...Nothing else...AT ALL.
Medium Rare--Typically for beef, brisket and related meats
Well Done--Everything else falls into this category.
Well done of course !
Thats when you get to eat it.
the reason mines kind of wth is because sometimes i eat meat other times i opt not to. i have my vegan weeks about once a month. otherwise between med rare and med well.
dont like meat
Depends on how long I forget about it while cooking. Or how hungry I am.
I used to only like steaks medium well or well done. If there was even a little bit of blood I wouldn't eat it.
Now though I find myself liking medium rare a lot more. Maybe it's just because I want to eat it NOW and not wait til it's burned, but eating bloody meant doesn't really bother me anymore.
Or I'm just turning feral.
Jap I think it's a bit of the latter myself mate... But I sort of share your ways... I like my steaks cooked! not this yuppie bull**** of eating it blue.....
