JOJ, you've transcended the point of making sense.
I beleive I ascended the truth...
Also grunky, any luck?
Unfortunately no. I'll attempt again tonight when it will be more quiet.
Alright, now that you folks have confused me.. so far as I can see, the basic question is 'can a person realize they're dreaming and take full control of said dream?' I know the question has been interpreted differently in previous posts, but for the purposes of mine it shall be interpreted as such.
Now, that being said. I believe people can realize they're dreaming; I know I have several times. As to having full control though... well, I'm not sure I'd say that much. Full control of yourself, for sure, and maybe the environment; others in your dream I wouldn't think so though. Least it makes more sense to me you wouldn't have control of others. Save for in the sense that your interactions with them would manipulate their actions, but aside from that yeah no. Course I haven't done research as such; heck, I don't even remember what's happened in my dreams that I knew were dreams, so there ya go.
Lucid dreaming is REAL... I've done it countless number of times.
I have also gone out of body.
Lucid dreaming is when you realize you're dreaming & you can take control of your dreams.
Out of body experience is when your spirit gets out of body, in your physical environment, and it's just what it is - an out of body experience. Both are really exciting!
Lucid dreaming is real, most of my dreams are quite lucid and have been for most of my life. One trick I have learned while I was dreaming once was that i could make people in my dreams say what i want, like I would ask a question to someone in my dream then think the answer I wanted to hear, and the person would repeat my exact thoughts so i would know immediately that I was dreaming.
I don't always need a sign that I am dreaming, sometimes I can just tell. I used to be able to freely fly in my dreams when I was younger, but now I can barely levitate and keep myself afloat for more than a few seconds. Other times I just end up just shooting myself too high into the air then falling to my death and waking up. It seems as if I am losing control over it with age. :(
Been there, done that
Lucid dreaming is real and is used in many differences therapies. I myself have suffered from night terrors and sleep paralysis since age of 6 and Lucid dreaming is my strongest and most reliable tool I have to deal with them. Although I do have to say in my experience the extent of change that I can make in my dreams and limited since the conscious and unconscious mind tend not to get along all to well. When a big change within the dream is made the conscious mind kicks in and I wake up but some form of self awareness is doable within a dream. When the conscious mind fights for control this all depends on a persons self awareness of their own subconscious mind.
