Change was it better or worse
Back in early days scout bombs and archer rainbows ruled the server
Instant warrior hero was a big then even after 2 years of playing
Having 100mil food in a city was a big thing
All LVL10 wood and Iron cities were a rare commodity
ballista was used only for farming
capturing cities was easy when player was offline
most of the time it was a planned group attack
attacks from long distances and still capturing cities was possible
big prestige meant top player because prestige farming was never heard of
Alliances fought wars to get other alliances as wings or make them merge to become stronger
Things that have changed since then
- Prestige farming resulted in loosing value for prestige
- Unbelievable troop counts and battles mostly begin with mechanics
- Wars are 1 vs 1 and mostly fought from 1 or 1.4miles
- Big heroes getting made in weeks which were not even imaginable
- unlimited supply of resources resulting in transporters winning wars rather than troops
- Capturing cities is thing of the past
- People being online for long hours, doing group attacks with weeks of planning are not there any more
- Advance ports never being used (probably evony shld remove cool down for 24 to 12hrs so that ppl can still use this)
- Flat fillers and random ports landing people close to their targets
- Evony performing npc clean ups more frequently
- Instant wall heroes making it nearly impossible to take walls down
To me the one big thing is about not being able to capture cities is the worst part of evony now
