The Off-Topic is Dying

Ok, for the last few months the OT was terribly active, with threads, games, and posts popping up everywhere, but ever since the Mafia VII finished and maybe even a little before that, people have either been leaving or drifting off to the complainer threads, leaving the OT to suffer. Threads that have been affected the most:

King's Bar - ever since marina left its been dead in there :(

Ban Game - Made a brief jump and then fell again

and the other threads put in that would normally receive lots of attention, such as what book are you reading right now, have all lost posters.

Where has everyone gone? :mad:

ha, well to me as a mainly OT person, it is important

I have heard OT is dying a lot in the past to now, yet I see no death.

The OT always seems to go quiet then some how it gets livier.
Just give it time.

ill take you two's word for it....

its been pretty quiet around OT recently

I find this to be quite hilarious myself.

The OT does jump and dip in terms of activity all the time :) It's just one of those things :)

EDIT: The Ban Game isn't a big part of the OT. Jus' sayin' :)

Not to discredit you and your thread m'dear...but there is a few matters to address in your statement below...(1) Most importantly? You've only been posting in OT for a short 3 months. Honey. You truly have NOT seen OT at it's busiest. I hate to break it to ya, but you simply shoulda came in some 18 months ago (give or take?)

Surely she had/has absolutely NO impact on the activities/inactivities of Kings. A nice and wonderfully sweet person, do not get me wrong. But she, nor you, have been here long enough to wrap your head around the King's experience.

This could also be attributed to timing. It's nearing Christmas and that means a few things:

- Students are frantically studying for final exams and finishing final projects.
- People are buying Christmas presents and spending time with their families.
- And if none of those are the case, then people are hella busy at work either preparing or dealing with the impending Christmas rush...

It'll be orite in the long run.... Just wait till somebody causes some sort of controversy sort of like you've gone an done here and it will steadily pick up again... I mean hell everytime Jurnis states the forums are dying seems to make it pick up because people do it just to spite him... Hell I know I do... She'll be right...

According to the forum, OT died in '09, OT died in '10, OT died in '11, OT will die again in '12. OT will probably die in '13 and beyond if Evony is 'round that long.

Lulls in activity and people leaving don't mean death. Things will pick up and more people will join and soon the next generation of OT people will fly by, which then leads to some of them leaving, more death accusations, and more people joining.

It's just a big circle that fixes itself.

I've been here since the beginning (or very close to it, check my join date :P) and I'm just here to voice what's already been said, this place has been the walking dead for years now :P

some people have lifes outside the forums don't get me wrong I like the forums a lot just not enough to waste all my time on as summer has started here I'll be on a lot less for it is the time for outside activitys and exams as eric pointed out above... And I'm sure that the OT will pick up in a while as I have seen it quite busy earlier this year...

I have an active social life, so I don't really post that often in OT anymore, or on the forums. I may be online, but that's because I can't be bothered to log out.

OT is just sleeping after all the commotion that used to happen here.
