if im not mistaken domi and co did the first atlantis with 3 members. Friend of mine who was tight with domi on age1 told me bout that. closest I've heard of to a solo and by some definitions of "soloing" using three accounts counts as long as theyre all run by the same person ... so if ppl start using that to define soloing then i think that should count too ;) lol
wow, that's amazing! on na50 atlantis is gonna get taken
OOh of course, I have no idea how to attack or defend lol...

Ooh wait sorry though lol, I'm clueless I forgot, I guess I better noob out :p
while those are pretty hits theyre really just standard, i personally pay attention to layering and mech ratios. as you target specific troop types to determine whether a player really knows what they are doing. like for instance why 15k rams in those first few mech hits? 1k would accomplish the same thing, the extra wave room being used on more ballies and pults
I disagree fully, more pult and bali(even keeping to a 2:1 ratio) and less rams would have lead to at least a couple hundred k less pikes being killed. Sure on the first hit more pults and bali could have been used, but I doubt it would have one-shotted the cavs if they were upped. Not only that, this was a camp hit, and I had actually estimated him at a 12 set so I was anticipating difference things to happen that what did, as it appears he had a 5 set, my 99k pult wave didn't even get a chance to land, and another addition, I didn't have very much pults at the time, increasing pults would have meant I wouldn't have had a enough for the finisher.
old thread , but good servers indeed
In that particular situation the larger ram layer could've helped. As there were only 500k archers, those 15k rams could have survived 3 rounds, which could push the damage caused by the pults/bally to being more than what they would've been had only 1 round worth of rams been sent, even accounting a higher bally/pult count.
Against cities with such low to mid archer counts, an increased ram layer size can be a benefit, however once the archer sizes go past 2.5-3m, the rams necessary to last more than one round become increasingly high, and lose their utility.
A 99k Pult wave is not a very smart wave to send in Age II.
Nice Reports still.
I can't quite remember what it was for, but I think I was using it for killing the scouts as I expected the mechs to do lower damage due to my over estimation of his star set, I'm aware that pult heal glitches over 74,051 but I think it was gonna lose very little/nowhere near 74k.
if you wanted to kill more pikes you shouldve removed the worker layer. also scout layers are useless vs 5200 defenses, except to absorb trap damage. and the correct ballie to pult ratio isnt 2:1, its closer to 1.33:1, check the math i couldnt be bothered but i remember i used to use 45k pults 61k ballies and it was pretty close to the correct ratio. go to the battle calc in your rally spot and scoutbomb 45k pults and 61k ballies until a change of 1k either way results in the pults being targeted over the ballies
3 rounds assuming a 15 starset, but i doubt that, surely the ballies or pults would move into the archers range by then and get gutted by priority over the rams. im not going checking, that would require effort and i dont play anymore so no point
Rams have a higher speed than bally and pult, so they would always be ahead of them. Because of that, in a 5k defense, archers would have them in range before the bally/pult as both bally/pult will stop to attack the defending layers anyways.
Pults are not a good clean up unit because of their low life compared to cataphracts or rams, and because of their high cost. The only situation where pult waves would be useful is against a CD defense in Age 1, where they don't have the no-healing for above draft proof level units, no life bonuses, and you need to do as much damage in one round as possible. There is a reason why a compliment of both bally and pult are better than a single wave of both, and its not just because of cost.
