There are no Age 2 bots*. All someone has to do is spend 5 minutes on Google to see for themselves.
It is far more likely that virtually all activity people attribute to "botting" is simply multiaccounting activities. I have played, to various degrees, on almost a dozen servers over the past two years (though now I'm down to a single Age 1 and Age 2 server) and on virtually every server in every alliance I've been in, you were expected (or, at least, highly 'encouraged') to either supply your login details to the alliance management, or have a 'team buddy' in a different area of the world who could watch your account for you while you were offline.
(*=Of course, it's always possible that someone with sufficient knowledge of actionscript or layered service provider programming may have put something together for their own personal use, such as that kid in PA a year or so ago... but such incidents would be highly isolated and the exception to the rule, and certainly would not qualify as any type of "botting problem" on Age 2.)
