Or, the player could use the built in seccurity features that prevent cities being npced, or heroes released.
I wouldnt call it a new low though. He isnt the first person in evony to have it happen to him. He isnt even the first person on the server to have it happen to them.
I would call it a natural progression though. Push hard enough and the bubble will burst.
Shawn on 33 was hacked, the acc was orginally some one elses and the original owner hacked it. (waves at Daria/ Gilivray ) Thankfully he saved atlantis because the security code was on...MAJOR LESSON FOR EVERYONE THERE...security code does help! Even Shawn was the enemy, no one deserves what he got, but hacking is part of every game, and always be, hackers cannot be stopped and in all fairness evony shouldn;t have to reimburse anyone who is hacked as its not their fault.
Oh yeah i was online on NA31 when Atlantis was accidently NPC'd lol, i know who did it, wont shame her. But thats probably the biggest evony fail on record.
Also I believe it was na24? Not too sure....BONGOFWAR/Grimreaper lost Atlantis due to a exploit with evony and paypal that people took advantage of which involved using a certain aspect (not saying what) of facebook to get someone banned on evony through paypal for a few days...which resulted in bong loosing Atlantis on 24 and a 16 on nA33
Same crap, different day. I play on NA29 against the famous kitty alliance.
Not too long back a few accounts in my alliance where hacked. Some of these where due to one of our alliance members selling out and there was account info in FB messages. The guy totally trashed every account he could. He trashed an account with over 80mil troops on it. The guy did actually hack an account though, managed to gain access to the persons hotmail account and changed his fb info in an attempt to steal the persons 16. He didn't have access to the evony login email though so we managed to pass the 16 on before he gained full access.
The person who did the hacking got banned on our server (OzioRah) and we managed to cap his 16.
The person who stole HHs from the account actually hacked was never banned.
The real fault lies not with evony, but players themselves. Maybe its us who have to reevaluate how we treat the game as well as each other in game...
Players will always try to find ways to cheat, exploit, hack.. While the fault players do this stuff it in the players, Evony should do their best to prevent this kind of things.
Just like people break law in RL and the police is supposed to punish those who break the law.
well reading this thread was a waste of time

Just a fyi, the account was not hacked through Facebook or just getting the Evony password. The person hacked Grid's email, then switched out the primary email on the account and removed his. Yes, he could play by going through Facebook, but why play an account that is compromised?
I am not arguing further into this topic, i am just pointing out that account sharing was not the issue.
To the OP, it's been obvious for quite while that the game of Evony is being cheated in many ways, including multi-accounting and b0tting. Hacking can happen in any online game but because Evony managment refuses to address the issue (which they could) it happens regularly.
I will put it to you and everyone else that it's not just a case of lazy management or greed that makes the game far less than what it could be. It seems almost purposeful that cheats prosper while good and honest players are penalised. Why? This I can't answer but it does cause great frustration among players and anger and dismay, even depression in extreme cases perhaps? Add to this the lag issues (which could be fixed) and leaving inactives for far too long on some servers and you have something that starts to resemble an evil, emotional trap.
I will put it to the administrators that some of the choices made in the past were bad choices because they simply do not understand the game mechanics and features that the original designers purposely incorporated. Take the recent example of calling multi-tapping NPC's for resources. I tried when I was playing and it takes some skill and knowledge to get it right and the knowledge comes from friendly interaction with other players. It was never an exploit in my opinion. It was a game design feature to reward good players and deal with the food and resource issues that have been around since day 1. I say this because it was my experience in Age II that capping a HC requires extremely good timing and co-ordination of multiple waves of just the right size.
How can you practice these required skills? Multi tapping NPC's is the obvious answer.
Is the penny starting to drop yet?
I can't give the advice that I want to give to all current players here. Suffice to say I don't play Evony now and never will again. (Then again, I also said these forums are toxic and I wouldn't post again, but old habits are sometimes hard to break.)
