a extremely simple way to break this defense is just scouting the scouts away then scout bombing the mechs to death.
or clearing the 5k setters with a few cavspams then smacking the :modedit: out of those mechs.
you don't want to be the next "awesome smack" in the defense reports section XD
edit:you seam excited about the battle mechanics, try "evocalc" its a lousy battle calc but it'll show you the exact rounds a unit will engage another unit with a lil animation
lol all defenses can be broken but if i kept 5mil scouts in my city with a nice hh u would be killing like 10k scouts per every 100k scout wave it would take forever and even with 65% heal rate who knows how many scouts u need it's a lot. i don't like this defense peronsally with theses troops but it's pretty solid
100k killing 10k of 4 000 000, would need 40 000 000 scouts, only 14 000 000(ish) after heal would actually be needed, which isn't much really. sooo, coordinate 10 waves of junk heros to hit a few sec before a alliance coordinated scout (say 50 100k waves), repeat till scouts are gone then scout bomb the mechs away. with only 4mil you wouldn't need to kill much before being able to bomb.
if i liked rams enough i'd just use em instead, 3mil rams in CD is just too funny XD
Like i said,if i was online i could keep building the setters back up and if i was getting heavily scout bombed id just bring in some warriors for a while!
marching camped warrs from the defending city won't be effective enough, they can't march faster than scouts(even if you have a lvl10 uhh...*gofast* building), and you can only send 1million from your rally spot.
also, set your hero to int instead of attack, it helps with scout bombs
well i run this defense in my 12 which is protected from porters for 5 mile by other peoples cities so i can bring in warriors from the valley that i keep them in
still, your maximum amount of emergency layering is 1million, and any attacker could just send a mech hit with their bombs to drop your 1 mil warrs to 0.
should keep like 10mil warrs in the city in the first place, 40k ballies/pults w/ 4mil scouts isn't very intimidating (i'd WANT to hit that if i saw it :)). the same setup with 10mil warrs, 10k pults and 40k ballies should be enough to make the attacker think twice, killing warrs is just not worth the effort
that defense i would wipe with 1 wave, 100k rams and i would lose only 55k rams so with a 65% Heal my loss would be small. don't underestimate the power of the ram:p

you added 4x the ballies and 2x the pults, NOT FAIR MAN. the original defense had only 40k of each. redeye's attack would work.

5 workers attacks are the absolute, indisputable, most terrifying force in the evony world.

use this knowledge with caution...with great power comes great responsibility.
there's a 'hidden' resource called 'plutonium', you get it by sending a high int hero to a hill, after a few hits you should get enough to make a nuclear warhead. you'll need 5 workers to carry the hidden res to an enemy base, once there they will set off the nuke from a safe distance and kill all of the troops. this attack will, however, turn ALL vallies/cities/npc's within 200miles into desserts, so it's not used much.

o, i forgot... DO NOT defend with 5 workers...
when defending against nuclear strikes, i always send the special troop type "cupcakes", which are useless for anything but cannon fodder.
maybe you should add some 5.2 range setters to your 5.2 defense
this defense is missing the 10k traps and 10k Abatis you stated in your original defense.
not only did you increase the amount of troops but also then took away the range setters......ALSO....i just recreated the battle in the screen shot and my 100k rams still win with even less losses. so your either doing something very very wrong or your manipulating the numbers in your screen shots.

Add 1k cav to your scout bomb it'll hit the mechs...just dont tell anyone on my server that lol (many attackers have been dimolished by that D)
so much bad in this thread its not even funny.
The defense is way to easy to break unless you regulate it and you can move stuff faster and better than your enemies timed waves because when using this defense you can fool some one for a few bali waves and then they start to give figure it out.
1k cav rest arch does damage to this defence
A correctly layered ram wave will break it or do mass damage
A correctly layred phract smack will break it
or alternatively you can spam all the walls away and then send a phract smack...and/or a ram smack :)

Oh and by the way its not really 5.2k defense. Its called Scout Mech Defence more commonly.
Alot of defences you need 5.2k for and they cant be them all :D
... unless im confused/mistaken with the forum rules/guidelines it does ask/state that you not double post, let alone triple post. at the very least though, it has become common courtesy among forum members not to double post as it is just plain annoying.
as for this defense, I find it quite inadequate... to run this in each city would mean that u open urself up to any experienced attacker with enough troops to do the job and do it well. also I recall it being said on the first page that this is the best defense for online users and CD is the best for offline. I remember for ages the argument AGAINST CD was that it was an inadequate defense for being offline ... maybe im wrong though ... however as for the best defense for being online i would say that it is to have the knowledge of battle mechanics and the troops necessary to defeat what ur enemy throws at u that makes the best defense ... mix it up depending on what is sent at u and ur attacker will go away pretty easily ... then again theyve said regularly in the past that the best defense is a good offense ...
