It only works if its your last city. In most cases, if someone's only city is zeroed, they are not an active player.

can u imagine capping his/hers 8th city and then onto the last where his little pride and joy hero is :devil: fillers were there before this and always will be so i can deal with that, but the option to eliminate a person completely i welcome BIGTIME!!!!!
At the moment, aside from a hiccup or two and not knowing the full details of how exactly it works, that will become apparent over the next few days. Finally Evony, I am very happy to say, what a fantastic patch.
Although, it would have been nice to know about it sooner. I don't log in via the age two evony page, but by the server specific page (there have been no patch updates there since 2009). Well done all the same.

if u cap a guy down to one city and 0 his last city u can put him in limbo...... i would say thats effectively killing him.... u can kill ur little fillers all day, i will kill others :D
This has ZERO to do with inactive players. NOTHING. It has to do with payers being able to bully smaller players and to take away their area. I just attacked an logged in player who was logged in half an hour earlier. I know they were, because they stole my valley and then logged off. I zeroed the city and erased it. Yeah, I wanted to, but it is contrary to the * rules of the game. Now, my city on another server, my last one, but in a location that reds want, I can no longer hold them off They can simply use 5 accounts and zero it, as they have done before, only this time it will be erased and they will get the spot.
If this was about inactives, EVONY could erase them at any time. This is about bully accounts being allowed to kick other players out of areas, and nothing more. No login limits were included. No activity limits. Either they fail to give any thought to their changes, or they are lying about the intent.
i totally agree with this to get rid of INACTIVE players , but not ones that login everyday
it means these guys with the huge skynets u can take one of there skynet cities surrounding there goodies they are trying to defend and sit right beside them and empty it XD

Just for once Evony do u think u could give a straight answer?? how long offline before innactive? a person with one city can be zeroed overnight we know that even noobs no that, but for that city then to be ported and they log onto a diff state? wtf? so instead of cryptic remarks please put it in plain english that WE all understand? if it gonna be u zeroed so u get ported, maybe so many wont play and it will just be coiners paradise or a botters. So the answer is??????

If you are one of these wierd ppl that need to sleep at night, in the middle of a big war, one city and it zeroed u innactive? oh come on!!! or maybe it just the way I read that, but I have a few players that have dropped or lost cities and are on 1 city only so they can defend, so if they lose that city overnight for w/e reason, they innactive. So again, how long is it before someone innactive, minutes, hours, days or weeks, or just overnight :mad:

My personal thoughts: Why not put a time limit on inactive accounts, most alliances have an "inactive" >10 day rule anyway before you are booted and then fair enough. Applying a similar rule here might have been a touch more logical? Instead no, act first, think afterwards. Dont you just love it??
We have always preferred and encouraged player solutions to in-game "problems." The more players can defend themselves and take on cheaters or other issues, the better the game will be. Our vast and awesome player base has more collective knowledge than all the data we could mine from our servers. Player enforcement is the ticket. :)
and if it overnight, and the player asleep, dont coin and dont bot? wake up and hey they in a strange state, no ports and their alliance is 200miles away, but they logged in 12 hrs ago, Anno evony is addictive, ive played since s2, but occasionally ppl need to sleep or have a life lol :devil:
I understand the gamespace, but the area that u spent so long building up with your alliance, and u log on and u doorsteppin the no 1 player on the server, how that gonna work? Innactive means ppl dont log on, it dont mean coiners/bullies zero cities cos they want that area and want the npcs that someone else has made, now tell me that aint so:soapbox:
doh!!!!!! occasionally ppl sleep, u no when u shut ur eyes and dream evony, and OMG ppl have to go to work, unless ur abotter with auto comfort, no way can u defend a city if u double tagged by way bigger players. does that make it easier to understand? :oops:

Your org allows people to bot, have 35+ feeder accounts to generate cities with 10's of millions of mechs, 100's of million scouts, etc. I am very capable of defending my cities in an honest game. Back when Evony was an honest game, from my second server on, I did not have a city zeroed. But it is no longer an honest game, so it happens all the time now. Without botting to combat bots, sharing accounts, etc, there is NO PLAYER that is safe from logging off and getting back on 2 hours later to find that all their cities have been doorstepped and they have been zeroed. NONE. Some of us have chosen to continue to play as a strategy game, not just a brute force bot vs bot game, and you simply continue to punish us by changing rules and taking away what few strategies we have left to the benefit of those who pay more and flaunt that they do not play by the rules. It is BS.
I don't think not logging in for 8 or 12 or 24 hours is considered 'inactive'
But NOT to same advantageous spot on the gamespace you were previously occupying....through no error or fault in your own gameplay (other than logging out for no more than half an hour (potentially)). Its like applying a random port to a city that's supporting close nearby cities in your own alliance. You wouldn't do that under normal playing conditions so why now?? I think that's the point we've been trying to make and that you have so far sadly missed.
I totally agree with u Dark, but tbh i don't think evony care, as long as they get their money and ppl like us play the game they will carry on, more and more ppl are leaving evony, going to even castalot which advertises its better than evony, maybe if it hits their pocket they might take a step back and look but i dont see that happening soon :modedit:
For the sake of truthfulness, unless the city is already at 0, if anyone knows how to zero a city in less than 66 mins, please inform me. To the best of my knowledge, you cant do it in 1/2 hour no matter what firepower you bring, so lets keep the discussion honest.

my apologies i misread it lol, I like others am so mad at this "patch", unfortunately as has been proved in the past with other patches whether on age 1 or 2, Evony developers or w/e they are dont give a stuff, they just justify what they do by addin stuff that ppl dont want, and not aiding with things that ppl do want. age old problem and one that will never be sorted ;P
Why should a 1 city account with no troops be able to save an area? You shouldnt be able to. This has been a problem for 3+ years. You block an area because you can't be capped.
If you have EVER been thru server mergers, the # 1 complaint I have heard over and over is all the dead acts follow and drop into random places on the map and take up way too much space. Finally a solution to a 3+ year old problem!

Yep. I am just pointing out that exaggeration does not help get comments taken seriously. I am exaggeration nothing in my claims. I, as many of us, have been doorstepped by multiple cities with 500m to 2 bil burn in the city. ALL of us know that those cities cannot be created or maintained within the rules of the game, but Evony continues to allow them to exist. That makes no account that follows the rules safe from being zeroed within hours.
I have spent countless hours teaching new players the game and getting them to understand with a big player is zeroing them to just stand pat. It is part of the learning curve. They cant take your last city. Just sit there, and when they are done, alliance will get you res's and you can rebuild. But Evony does things like makes troops be recalled to a refuged city, and does not allow low prestige to reinforce larger ones to protect their troops and heroes when being zeroed. They allow large players to honor dump on small ones so they can never compete. They create items for money players that will allow them to control another players gates and say that is OK, not really a game changer, because they give almost none of them out anyway. And now, yeah, they don't delete the account, but the remove it from the given game space and put it as some random location where alliance cannot even help them rebuild.
