You read what I said right? You are right. This bot change will impact city capture and plundering. You keep ignoring the fact the resources spent are gone forever. If I made you comfort you lost resources. Keep doing that, It goes to my advantage.
And how can you say that bots in general will do that ffs, not every bot is identical.
The only requirement is the player has alts within, say, a 72-minute march, and enough cav (50k) to ship.
Hit all the cities of that player if you want. Or all the cities of that alliance (yeah, right). Doesn't stop those cav from arriving periodically with the resources necessary to pray.
''Yeah right?'' What, its impossible to do?
I want those cav to come, I don't lose anything making you comfort. Let them comfort all they want. The defender loses. I don't need to cap your city or plunder you I just have to destroy a bots feeding purpose. Feeding a feeder substantial resources to keep feeding? LOL. I do hope this point isn't ignored.
All this implies to me is people will bot their feeders to higher troop levels to maintain the accounts at a level where they can successfully comfort.
People will bot their feeders to higher troop levels??? Again, are you on my side? More troops means higher upkeep on a feeder. Cuts resources profit to a main account/city.
I suppose there will be some players who reduce the number of alts they run. The longer-term implication of that is simply more NPCs and less cities to hit, as those cities disappear and are removed from the map, the bots will build NPCs in their places.
AND THIS ISN'T GOING TO AFFECT BOTTING?
NPCs can't protect themselves against a farmer knowing how to farm. They are open to everyone. Bot controlled cities are under control from players, it's assets are questionable.
That's because your posts are devoid of logic and rational long-term analysis in exchange for what you perceive as short-term gain. Yes, there will be a short period of time until bot makers patch their software (which as Morgan indicates has already been done), but after that patch makes its way though the botter community, you'll be right back where you are now.
What do you mean we will be back where we are now? The cost will never change. How are my posts devoid of logic... truly. Explain to me where I am wrong instead of insulting my arguments and therefore me.
Me either, but I call it as I see it.
So do I. I've had practical experience with this change and bots have been affected :D
Years ago, a company I worked for instituted a Quality Management Program to obtain ISO 9001 certification from Llyods of London. Two items stuck in my head from that program, even 2+ decades later:
a. Identify the root cause of the problem, and
b. Do it right the first time.
I am on the side of doing it right the first time. That means identify the root cause of the problem, and fix that.
Comforting isn't the problem. Apparently you believe it is.
Apparently? I would agree with you there, and do half-half, but where did you get that impression? Where did I state that? Comforting isn't the problem.
I believe smaller players, rightfully so, are concerned about the price, because the price is irrelevant to larger players who bot.
This is theorizing. This is the most repeated argument against the change in this thread. I have enough replies to that. And the price isn't irrelevant. How can you say that?
Shall we start a pool on what the next "feature" they demand be changed so they can get their cupcake, when this change falls flat on its face (like captcha did a while back) ?
