Warrior spamming is a method for earning quick experience and prestige (I believe). People were sending armies of 500 warriors against level 10 cities, watching them die, and then doing it again. I think Warrior spamming with intent to conquer is ok (which would require larger numbers), but when you are intentionally sending small numbers to their death for the purposes of experience and prestige, it becomes an exploit.
That's my understanding, anyway.
Not sure i agree with that. You gain experience whether you win or lose, but if you lose, you lose prestige, not gain. At least in my experience.Quote:

when warriors trigger rockfall/traps/defensive trebuchets you used to gain prestige. people were sending 5,000 warriors at a level 10 city and would gain 3,000 or so prestige for it. they continuously did this to gain hundreds of thousands of prestige a day and now their punishment was to remove all prestige and reset them to 0.Quote:

100k warriors do jack diddly against a lvl 10. An ally of mine did it to soften one up and it ended up doing somewhere around 1/8 the value of the warriors in damage to the city.
Just took a L10 city. Took 32 minutes from the first hit to the final capture hit. I started with 12,619 Ballistas, 277,155 warriors, 178,934 archers. My losses were 40,113 warriors and 41,421 archers plus a couple hundred each of workers, scouts, pikemen, swordsmen, cavalry from layering. I did not have a war ensign but I did have a level 10 rally point. My main hero was 116 attack, 3 others were over 100, 4 others were 90+ and one was 88. The attacks were 15-30 seconds apart. I sent them right back as soon as they got back. I did not wait for all waves to return before sending the ballista/archer big wave again; I just kept them going as soon as they returned.

Here are my results from today's lvl 10 Barb City. Pretty standard tactics used, 42 attacks in all. I am just posting the 1st, 2nd, some random middle ones and the last. I was sending wave attacks at about 1:20 min interval with a 7 min round trip, so I only had 6 or 7 out at a time ,which was actually a good thing considering what happened next. The server crashed at about 20 loyalty for 15min. So I had to call in reinforcements because my returning attacking troops had default travel times during the return trip, placing 50% of my wave forces in limbo.:

I figure I lost about half of all my troops, no mechanics lost.
sadyan, how did you know to time the 60k warrior march on the 40k warrior respawn? i thought it was random now, not constant?
i've been wondering if i send 8k archer + 20k warrior waves, how will i know which one will hit the 40k warriors so i know to buff it up a bit?
That was the first attack I sent after the server was restarted. I figured since it was down for about 15 mins. there would be a spawn of warriors there. Kind of an educated guess... :)
I posted all 44 of my attacks but apparently it was too long and won't post until a mod reviews it. I sent waves of 10k archers 25k-35k warriors. I did not adjust for the 40k warrior respawn. A wave of that size handles the 40k warriors with ease. Here's one of my middle waves after the 40k warrior respawn.
