fortunately I have three script so I used up the first on wall 17k archers tower and 2k abatis is awesome defense with +100% range.
Forge is too important to leave it after the npc level 10 (double recruit speed = kickass in the first part of the game) and catas are too slow and sux with the wall enchancement patch so this.
RP is make easier to conquer level 10 npcs and 10k more troops to send is awesome. with War Ensign that is 125k troop.
Festing hall is a real waste, just build level 9 in all cities and you will have enough heroes.
You get the workshop stable barrack relief station, mines and beacon from npc-s, so simple waste in my opinion.
Town hall level 10 is not my choice for me 100k more lumber per hour isnt that good (with 150 pol hero, 40 level 9 sawmill and 10 level 10 forest), and for the General rank simply conquer one from others (or an npc with these drop rates on newer servers :))

Alright, here's what I've picked up in my last 5 days of medal farming. I finally reached Baronet, needed 8 rose when I started, and I picked up the last 2 ten minutes ago from the same lvl 2 hill from attacks within about a minute of each other.
From what I've seen, if you get a rose or other kind of medal from a valley, it will almost certainly yield another medal. I picked up 2 rose and 2 lion medals from a single lvl 1 grassland, and another 2 rose and 2 lion from a lvl 1 desert. As I said, my last 2 rose came from the same hill, in a very short time period. I would send 8 simultaneous attacks at a valley, 4 from each city, then conquer and abandon quickly when each landed. For numbers, I used 20 archers for a lvl 1 and 50 for a lvl 2.
It takes patience and gets to be extremely frustrating, but it is doable. Hope this helps. I'm on server 27.
So, you say that it is difficult to get rose and lion medals, RIGHT? well, with this strategy of mine, it will become the easiest thing you have ever done. This combines 2 strategy's that i have found on the forum. . with a few things of my own. One of them is turin's suicide strategy, and the other is the HODS archer strategy.
Here is what they say:
TURIN: (suicide strategy) (dont worry, you still win the battle)
lvl 1 valley : 50 warriors 20 archers
lvl 2 valley : 70 warriors 30 archers
lvl 3 valley : 90 warriors 40 archers
lvl 4 valley : 120 warriors 80 archers
HODS: (archer strategy)
lvl 1 valley : 50 archers
lvl 2 valley : 100 archers
lvl 3 valley : 200 archers
lvl 4 valley : 400 archers
At first, i tried using both strategys separately. But then i thought, what if i combine the two? By combining them, i got this result.
Attack 1 : level (3) valley suicide
Attack 2 : level (1) valley archers
Attack 3 : level (2) valley suicide
Attack 4 : level (4) valley archers
the point here is to alternate the valley levels, as well as the strategy. I found that this works the best for me. In an hour, i got 3 cross medals, 6 rose medals and 4 lion medals.
NOTE : flats work as valleys aswell.

Marketplace in case of attack
You may put goods with unreasonnable prices on the market. They won't be seen by scouts but will get stolen in an attack.
What you may do when an army marches towards you is to really sell the goods and buy them back. That is where the 30m delay comes in handy. If you have a wave of attacks incoming for more than 30m, you may exchange all your goods and gold to stones.
Sorry but this is all wrong.
If you are a new player and being attacked by an established player (a guy like me), the only thing you can do is:
Click on one of your valleys; select reinforce; select 'max' from your troops menu; send ALL of your army to the valley, and take ALL/as much of your resources as possible so you don't get plundered.
Established players want an easy-plunder. If you keep moving your resources away, chances are guys like me will stop coming back.
Or, just log in at 3am and plunder you anyway. ;)
yes but it is very difficult i have caputured one in about 10 minutes before and i myself have attacked over 10000 npcs and never once recived an item a random.
Anyone have any Battle Reports for Unbuffed and Non-Ensigned LvL 10 NPC attacks?
Everyone I've seen is either buffed or ensigned. I'd like to see some numbers not based off of shop purchases.

I am assuming the hero atk has a lot to do with the minimal losses?

im sorry i forgot to mention. . this is on server 21, and this is from about a week ago. . although i made the topic today. I was going to put the server in.. it simply slipped my mind.
-My method used when I needed medals-
Kind of hard to explain this:
Step 1:
Launch 9 - 10 waves each spaced 20s -45s apart (to account for lag potential) at the same uncapped valley.
Step 2:
Wait. As soon as wave 1 hits, abandon. This will automatically send your troops back for return. 20 seconds later, wave 2 will hit and cap the valley.
Step 3.
Repeat step 2 after each wave caps the valley.
Step 4.
Keep sending waves at valley until required medals drop.
*note*
Some say the medals drop only if you kill defending troops. I'm unsure if this is true or not, from my own experience. I've had all my medals for a very long time now.

Walls, walls, walls. As for RP, 100k troops isnt much more than 90k. Lvl10 walls gives an extra 3 rounds for your AT to fire. Theres no point to a lvl10 TH, thats what lvl10 npcs are for. If you have 4 mich scripts, get 4 lvl10 walls in all of your cities.

Depends on your long term priorities/plans/strategy.
If you plan on taking down lvl10 NPC's for your own cities, then use the mike script for RP and FH. Why burn a script on TH, Walls, etc, when a lvl10 comes fully loaded?
However, if you feel the urge to build up for a long time prior to the attempt, or you are under constant attack/plunder/at war/etc, then by all means an upgrade to walls is a good idea.
Both reasons have abundant merit and individual benefit.
I really forget how I used to get my medals, I got everything back in April, but I followed something to the OP's method, as most people did back then, well I suppose we did get a medal every time we attacked haha!
Town hall then walls. Everything else you get from a lvl 10 npc.
One theory is, and I can confirm it on older servers, that if you got a medal from a certain valley or flat, keep hitting it, because it gonna give you more medals
The other theory is that drop rate is low, so you gonna hit the same valley 100 times even if it doesn't produce anything, and end up with one medal
On newer servers, I don't know which is true, because so far, I've come up nothing, not a thing
I went TH, academy, barrack, workshop, forge, and farm. Currently I'm keeping my 3 mike scripts(too lazy to write it all out) in case I lose the main city.

The exercise state the minimum archers i lose is 8 if i send 135. i have sent a low level attack hero , and since my techs are higher then the hill, i expect to have a minimum of 8 archers lost or less , will post the battle

As you can see i am about to lose archers on this one ...if you calc with anything less then 20k archers you will lose more then 1511 archers , but if you add 1 ( yes one ) pike to the archers then the calculation go down to 449 lost archers ( which is acceptable for me )
And since i see a high level hero , i am sending a high level hero of my own...

okay some one tell me about server 34 please...2000attacks no medals :( wtf is goin on its a joke!
explain your procedure for 2000 attacks without a medal because it sounds to me like something is being done wrong. the drop rate is not zero percent, its 1%.
to the mod above. do you work for evony? just curious because i have no evidence in my data that shows that over killing or taking losses changes drop rate on new servers.
If it's about me, I'm a volunteer for Evony, no money or any other advantage gained by them just that all my posts are scanned thoroughly.
I tried to help you to the best of my knowledge. There must be some other people who can give you a better answer to that surprising phenomenon (to say the least).
I think it's because I'm attackin the same place with out lettign it regen...could be the only reason why I'm goign to try the abandon tech now and see.
