Your 125k catas were a liability. They netted you a loss rather then a return on your investment, and you had to use at least one cash item to get even that. 375K archers can net you around two hundred million food, a mess of gold, and after you will still have 300k archers left over. Heck, even 125k archers will get you 20m food and a bunch of gold, and you wont get over eighty thousand of them killed to do it.
With 375k archers you can cap a level 10 NPC and have three quarters of them left over, along with a city that has all level 10 buildings.
With 125k catas you can beat up a newbie with a crap city, modest army, no fortifications, a worthless hero, and lose three quarters of them for your trouble. Against anymore then that you will only get them all slaughtered for nothing.
This isn't a contest. 125K catas is a very bad investment. 125K archers are far better for any strategic cost/benefit minded player, much less the 375k you could have built for the same price/time spent.
One of the biggest problems with Evony is that attacking who can even make a fight of it nets you no reward. The battle report in question proves that fact, it doesn't dispel it.
