i maybe wrong or right
Sorry I was referring to something else. I think it's uncool you were bumped, I liked your entry. But I'm of the position that all the entrants that were put up and left up are fair play. You didn't make this thread so my comments about sour grapes weren't directed at you.
My first thought was, "That can't be right, I don't remember Mulan visiting Camelot..". After reevaluating the rules as presented, and coming to the same conclusion as most of us, there has been no violation and no reason for disqualification. The only actual infraction that might exist is based upon your definition of semi-nude and if a 2-piece falls into that catagory. By most standards, there is no obscenity or nudity to be found among any of the contestants.
Given the nature of the chat and forum filters, which might be "setting of the game", and thus what could be considered "inappropriate", there is a certain measure of implied discretion to be found. One might also call it "good taste". These are rather subjective terms and can hardly be used as evidence one way or the other. However, a contest for a game in which the word "girls" is restricted, would also restrict an entry as riske as Daisuke. Still, however inconsistent, there has been no official breech of contest rules.
Give credit where credit is due, many entries, such as the OPs, have great merit to them without leaning heavily on the driving forces of the Y chromosome. It is somewhat unfortunate that the voting would be so influenced by a stiff reaction and not a creative and "Queen"ish context. We play an internet game, with a predominatly male demographic, we shouldn't feign ignorance to these factors, Daisuke surely didn't.
Fix the method, leave the contestants. Bandwagons have nasty tendancies to burst into flames.
Edit: It was pointed out that the general imagery used in the game, castles, troops, etc, are all consistently European with no evidence, whatsoever, of any presence of Asian culture. Please allow me to be clear on this, no evidence of culture, "costume" is the factor under debate -- not the contestant.
The "illegal entry"? Oh - as in Daisuke? Funny how long you guys have had to debate her entry and you don't have a problem with it until it was obvious she was winning by a massive margin?
I do remember the issue of what she was wearing come up ages ago but a green name in that thread explicitly said it was OK. Remember?
US rep eh? The expected blonde/bluey isn't winning.... oh I see.
Dawnseeker should at least try to "appear" neutral in all of this.
You know what? Now that I think about it, it's not even Daisukes' entry being allowed that irritates me. It's the fact that they included everyone. Note, at the top of the rules:
Is 89 really all that reasonable of a number? Seriously.Quote:
All entries will be considered and finalists will be narrowed down to a reasonable number based on the quality of the entry.
Here is the harsh reality.
Even if she wasn't in "lingerie", she still would have won...
uh...the rest of the entries, well, lets just say that I wouldn't be supporting THOSE people if they were my queen.
To each their own, Beesenitch.

just for the record where the definitions came from.
