Are u still as hopefull after yesterday? Wasn't exactly the start you English people were hoping for... (not supporting the Aussies though).
Umm... we're 336/7 after one day, and you live in Leicestershire?
i am totally lost... just thought i'd let you know that. as if anyone cares....
aaaaah and whose ashes are in the vase?
I would go red, and so would u if it was the other way around lol
oh no wait.... you'd go orange lol j/k :p:D
I was in the Netherlands when it happened, but over there cricket is such a small sports, there wasn't any attention for it at the evening itself. So i hadn't heard anything till like a day later.
You were right btw about the strange and orange... I have to say i support the Dutch in all sports, apart from football. There i'm 100% England fan.
which club do you support?
PSV, my home team, got a seasonticket there since 1974 and Leicester City.
Supported City since 1980, was on holiday in Southern France and met some guys from Leicester. They asked me who i supported, but at the time not really anyone. So they said, we've got this young local lad that just started playing for us (Gary Lineker), rest is history.
When I moved to England in 2007, I wanted to live in a place from where i could easily go to the Walkers to watch the games, but i ended up here. Love it.
cool im a Sheffield United fan cos i lived really close to Bramall Lane
BLADE TILL I DIE!!!
Not so good news about your goalkeeper the other day

Im sorry but the Brits just plain suck compared to Ponting and North. You guys got lucky and used time wasting tactics to waste time to get a draw.
the poll is rigged:P
i still love the way you can play appallingly, outbatted, outbowled - generally outclassed and still have it called a draw. . . . .
Not that the Aussies would ever do that either though. . . ;)
Cricket stinks.
Its a brilliant sport and the ashes evokes passion like nothing else!monty to open :)
GO the Aussies. go kick the poms bottom (or was the british Jerries)
Weather forecast for the second Test doesn't look good, so probably another draw on the cards.
Since this is titled "Ashes" I wanted to say...
Ashes, Ashes, we All Fall Down.
Neither did I :p
From the bbc-website:
Women..... :rolleyes:Quote:
From Matthew Cheetham, TMS inbox: "In an attempt to engage me in conversation when I was listening to TMS in the car, my wife once asked me who was the better cricketing twin brother, Andrew or Freddie Flintoff? What a shame that there aren't two of them, then one could play one-dayers and the other tests and problem solved."
Hats off for the first Jay Coboram moment of the day, Cheeters
From the same bbc-website, the visitors there are starting to get into the brother and twin talk:
Quote:
Chris Riley, London, TMS inbox: "Talk of Andrew Flintoff and his brother Fred reminds me of a friend, who was watching a Grand Prix with his girlfriend. She was surprised that there were two sets of racing brothers - Michael and Ralf obviously, but also Rubens and his brother Barry Chello
Is it true the English Cricket Team motto is "Pray For Rain" ?
More like beg for rain, but at the moment it seems like it's
'Pray for Johnson to stay on as a bowler'
i voted england will win
Of all the races in the Universe, only Humanity could be so crass as to name a game after the great Krikket wars.
And the fact that the object of the game is to hit a Wicket is just Mind-Boggleingly rude.
