City Naming Conventions

What kind of naming conventions do you guys use when naming your cities? For instance, a guy near me uses Athens, Sparta, Macedon, etc. and I've seen a few people using names like MinasTirith, Gondor, Meduseld, etc.

What naming conventions do you guys use?

I use Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, etc. or London, York, etc. New York, Boston, etc. I try to do 3 cities from major countries.

I use random latin words. Like Falsus.

I use planets, or places like Greece, or something that fits the cities name. I have China, Jupiter, BandCamp, and Crushed

what ever comes to mind, has to be good, and origanal, for all i care i have arizon, hellore, just somthing that comes to mind in 3-4 seconds

I use Billy Mays products like wpack. My city is named OrangeGlo. That'll probably be my only city though, because more cities = less prestige.

I've started using random 3 letter combinations since you only see three letters in your city list anyway.

I use the digits of pi.
