Rov, what don't we get? There are many studies to indicate that plants don't just react out of instinct. That they may actually think for themselves. Just because they don't have a brain, does not mean that is impossible.
The fact that you keep basing intelligence or the ability to think on the human brain is a setback for you. Look at some insects, there are certain bugs that have a nervous system, but no brain. Yet those bugs communicate with their own species and possibly other species, do they only act on instinct, who knows since we can't communicate with them.
It is extremely possible for other things besides humans to have intelligence without having the same biological makeup as us. By not giving in to the possibility only makes a person narrow minded and arrogant. As I keep saying, the universe is one big joke, enjoy it. Just don't dismiss it.
I think ill enjoy it, too much research to figure all this out. Just eat, drink, and be merry. If they have intelligence, i know the definition as the ability to communicate with ones species, then they do. I just eat them, they called fruits and vegetables. Do we really have to go this far into it?
