It's quite impossible to alter reality through time travel. Let's say you live in the year 2000. You are going to go back to the year 1900. Everything that you plan to do in 1900 HAS ALREADY HAPPENED. It happened a century ago, because when that was the current timestream, you were already there, from a time that hadn't happened yet.
So anything that you do in the past has already been done, and cannot affect the future.
I like time travel. It's like, every peice of the puzzle fits in, but there's always one peice you can rotate a single degree and the whole picture changes.
Standard stuff, this was dead... but oh well, I just answered his question, that if i die in the past, in my current body then my past body suffers no consquence

for the record, if you die in the past in your current form,the next day you will wake up in your past form , have dejavu through your life go back in time and die.repeat forever
