The new mods!
Well, seeing as the last thread got shut for asking questions, I won't do that now. This is a completely factual and unbiased status report for the new hires.
Well, let's start with post counts. At the time of their hiring, the new mods had a total of 2206 posts, 74% of them belonging to Bickyz and Ruyuk, and 3 had less than 6 posts.
Now, 4 days later, they have 2355 posts, which averages out to less than 4 posts, per day, per mod. Happily, every new mod has climbed out of the 10> post pit!
Now let's track their performance. As a baseline, let's use the Guide forum, which has had 5 of the new mods assigned to it. At first glance, it appears chock-full of spam threads, and it also seems as if no mod has posted there in over a week. Unfortunately, it also appears that way under closer examination...
Well, let's take a peek at good ol' OTD instead, which has received 4 assignees! After some searching, I have found no evidence of a mod besides FoxyBunny posting here. I found a LOT of spam, but no mods.
Well, that's it for the 4-day status report! Feel free to formulate your own opinions on the new moderators, and remember, this information might not accurately reflect their performance.
(Please don't spam or go off-topic, I don't want another closing.)

This information is 100% Correct
-
a couple mods have posted in OT, just not the OT mods, and logrus was active the other night. Even Dawnseeker got in on some of the games the other night.
-
There are reasons behind alot of the behavior that is being shown around the forums, but I do agree that another mod here in the OT that cares about it would be nice.
-
I don't know about OT, since I don't post here much, but I know Help and Questions needs mods that actually help and answer questions. They should think of themselves as community helpers, not just thread closers. There are lots of nubs drowning in the sea of conflicting/inaccurate/incomplete information out there.

-_-
That is all I have to say to you.

Right on! Awesome post! No offense, but seems like the only thing korgeza and Sovverf do is just randomly pop and say, "Hey, that's bad, I'm closing this topic. Bye."
-
It's possible that they, being relatively new to the forum, are performing the duties of moderators without the experience gained by being normal members. They may only know how to moderate, not post.

i wouldnt want to be a mod :p
