So WTH is the real issue with my name....
The full name happens to be Adolf von Steinberg, roughly translated to mean "The Wolf of Stone Mountain".
Some here like to jump up with their self-rightous ignorance and spout phrases like "I'd kill you because of your name", and similar such BS. Well, isn't that the exact mentality that you seem to be trying to rally against in the pathetic little stand you take, simply based on the assumption that because I happen to have the same FIRST name as some worthless piece of trash in history? Ignorance... It's what I truely dispise.
Let's take your logic and apply it from my perspective.
Christianity as a whole has executed without mercy millions of people throughout the world based solely on the idea "they don't see God yhe way we do--they must be exterminated." So I should hate all Christians because they slaughtered millions... Hundreds of millions, actually. So I'll openly hate tham. But then we have Muslims. They openly slaughtered Christians--by the millions, because the infadels didn't believe in Alah. Whoa, I gotta hate them too. That sucks, because I now have to hate some good friends in India and Indonisia.
OK, I'd better get more specific in who I hate and why... Native americans---there we go. Because they slaughtered settlers in "the new world" openly. OOPS, I have to hate the settlers too because they stole the land they settled from the native american people. Hate them!! That sucks--it means I have to hate a good friend who is Navajo, and me because I'm white--but me again because I have Cherokee, and me family for settling here....
All right, Japan attaqcked Pearl Harbor and killed thousands, then faught against the US in ww2. So I guess I have to hate a few close fiends there too. Awe, now that really sucks...
Should I hate mexico too? What about my neighbor?? We were really close until I had to start haning him for being Mexican...I mean, we can't forget the Alamo, but we hunt and cut firewood together, and play poker, but Really!
The point is, you hate me and threaten me because of my name. That makes you exactly what you want to believe you are rallying against---ignorant intolerance, with the want to cause me pain because of what YOU believe. Pretty freaking stupid.
I prefer to focus on the ignorant displays of stupidity, rather than the cosmetic differences of those that might display them. I don't care about the disply of the person until they demonstrate the capacity of that ignorance I am referring to. Too bad it seems to be a trend here...
I hold on to my name because I hate one thing---ignorant self-rightiousness. With my name, those who I don't need to waste time on don't need to be looked for, they stand readily to be counted.
That's why it's best to appoint vice host(s) who will be around when you aren't, that could either declare war or nullify diplomatic relations if the 24-hour diplomacy timer for that guild was still active.
As for the name, it's because WWII is too recent, there are still plenty of people who were in, or suffered directly as a result of it. Naming yourself after the most famous of history's recent *******s probably isn't a good idea, intentional or not (although this notion is more applied to people who would name themselves Hitler, rather than just Adolf). If you had named yourself Attila the Hun, Vlad the Impaler, or Ivan the Terrible, no one would have cared.
