So, I'm sure most of us have had some idea, that we thought was awesome and romantic, but the receiver didn't think so.
The first I'll mention, is how I told this girl how I was reminded of her every time I heard the song Poison by Alice Cooper.
She said "aww." And hugged me.
Two days later, she listens to the song, slaps me, and calls me an ass hole.
So, share your story of what you thought would be romantic, but apparently wasn't.
I actually haven't had this problem. o_o
At least I don't think so...
Everytime I've done something romantic for a sweetheart they loved it!
Now...not necessarily the case when they've done things for me. ;)
My highschool sweetheart wasn't much of a romantic at heart, to him remembering to actually show up somewhere was his idea of "sweet."
Other than that kind of situation I have also found everything romantic that has been done for me.
Maybe I'm just easy.
Once I asked a girl if I could feel her bum. She said yes, and the next day I asked her and she slapped me in the face....
That is far from romantic, and I doubt you really thought it was. :p
So she said yes one day and not the next? o.O
This happened last year...
I was sitting next to my guy friend, whom I used to have a crush on. We were in deep conversation about whatever, I can't remember but suddenly he looked me straight in the eye and blurted out, "I like you since forever." I thought that was the most romantic moment ever in my life.
I started blushing like crazy and said, "I love you too!" I was happy.
A few seconds of silence and he told me that he was just practicing on me to say to this girl he likes.
I smacked him with my binder.
Wow...
That is horrible! How dare he not give warning. D:
I had someone ask me out as an April Fool's joke (he was asking all the girls)...my only reprieve was I turned him down. ;) Yay for having good taste and knowing he was a dog! And stupid him for not having a romantic bone in his body!

I tricked a girl into admitting if she liked me or not. My friend had all ready told me that she thinks that she likes me. So she spread the rumor. I told the girl that my friend was spreading the rumor, and she said casually, " That will probably never happen." ( Three Seconds Later) " No Offence" This happened back in Middle School. I'm old now.... Believe it, or not... That same girl and I are engaged. ( That would be why I left for a month or so. ) Lol.

I'll share another of my screw ups.
At the same time as it was meant to be romantic, it was also meant to be funny.
Her birthday was coming up. I was low on cash. So, I grabbed a block of wood, and set out carving an intricate heart. Took me 34 hours in total.
At the bottom, I carved "You give me wood."
I wrapped it up in a box, and gave it to her. She opened it up, and found only the carved words. She got mad, and kicked me out. Turns out, the heart had broken off, and fallen under my workbench. Right through the bottom of the box.
So, I did what any man who'd recently been kicked out of girl's house would do.
I heaved it through her window with a note tacked to it.
"I give you wood now."

I forgot valentines once and during a phone call with the girl I was reminded about our valentines plans and so on such short notice the only thing I could get her were some pajama pants with hearts on it :o
I've noticed something. Most men try to understand girls. Am I wrong? WELL being in the process of marriage, I've seen,girls are just as confused as we are. Even if they don't want to admit it. That's why woman and men are paired. For a better understanding of the opposite sex. Linked together with endless love. It's hard at first, especially when the lot of you are going through middle and high school.
