Black widow bites are rarely fatal unless you are allergic to them. There is an antivenom, but it can only be used once in a lifetime. Not quite sure why. However, back to the bite. The descriptions of black widow bites are excruciating, but only make you wish you were dead. Having been bitten you will build up a tolerance against the results of future bites.
More to be aware of are brown recluse bites which can cause many problems including messing with your heart.
Both are considered as part of the cobweb spider family.
Hope this helps.
umm
not very... actually...
I have extensively researched this in the past...
it generaly only is fatal when the bite occurs in areas in which I can not mention here...
The death rates were higher in the past because bathrooms weren't very clean and were outside where spiders could nest in the toilet...
Um.............nevermind lol
yeah, some parts of the body are targeted more heavily from different locations... the location I am referring to targets the kidneys and liver i think...
and I think it also allows the venom to propagate through the body more efficiently and thoroughly...
I havent looked this up in a while so it may not be accurate, but its close enough...
EDIT: I did some research... appearantly age has a much greater factor, generaly the usual 'at risk' group (young children and babies and elderly people) is more likely to die...
