To be perfectly clear, I was not asking for any changes to be made in the slightest. I was simply pointing out the ludicrous speeds at which the troops in this game travel. This was a realisation I had when drunk. A non-evony playing mate wondered why I had to visit my PC an hour later. I pointed out I'd sent some Cav on an 80 mile march, only then did we realise how quick they travel. Since they I've done the math on the rest.
Given Scouts run quicker than a Bugatti Veyron, I'd say thats significant.
I live 60 miles from London and 20000 scouts can get there quicker than I can walk to my local town centre. The logisitics alone would mean they take that long before even starting out.
Though I also don't see how longer times can hurt. Can there really be that many people out there that send a few armies out on a 2 hr march and sit in front of their PC for all that time "just in case".
