Now, if you really looked into it, I think the answer would be obvious. I've seen this sort of thing so many times it doesn't even phase me anymore. Obviously there is a colony of little people living underground, pushing the plants upwards with their magic pogo sticks. What you need to do is hire John Travolta to steal Michael Jackson's body. Bury it in your yard and the chemicals should stop the plants from growing properly. Or, an easier approach, just bury a 100 pound block of rubber.

I've seen some pretty damn overgrown places in my time, but I've never heard of plants growing that well in winter. You could make some real money off this, enter in one of those contests where people compete for the biggest plants.
Weed killer is overrated BS. Get some Roundup or another strong herbicide if you really want to get rid of them.
And raising the soil pH is different from poisoning the plants. It makes it harder for them to get nutrients, so they stop growing and even die, sometimes.
Yeah tell me about it, when everything is covered in snow, my rose and my japanese iris are still growing and the rose still blooms. Don't think I can win an award for biggest plant, but if they have one for strangest plants, I am sure I could get one of those lol
@Zenrax.....That would work except for one thing, I don't think the soil understand PH. As we have plants that make the soil acidic next to plants that don't like acidic soil, growing just fine next to each other. Also plants that need the acidity are growing in areas where the soil shouldn't be acidic at all. As a matter of fact, plants that acidic soil would kill, grow just fine in the same spot. The weed killer is roundup that I used. It killed the weeds that grow in the cracks of the sidewalk just fine.
They do just grow back lol
For instance, we get a weed that only grows in the south in our yard. The winters are supposed to kill off the roots if you don't get it all yourself. Yet every year we dump buckets full of this weed over a hillside, that we have uprooted.
I just find it funny is all, that we have our own jungle and can't get it to stop or even slow down lol
ooooooooo make a theeem park out if it!! you said the nehbor kids are always over there anyway. Call it ... idk... Alices Garden... yea thats a good name. and chrage ppl $1 to take home shoots or stuff you dug up so they can "grow it at home" and put in some cheesy rides so the parents have to come and watch their kids and then its not your fault if they eat stuff
