Zen uses actual science and thuroughly discussed theorized science (correct me if I'm wrong about that Zen) to prove his points, whereas all you are doing is using your wimpy and incomplete Star Trek knowledge to fight back.
One particular note... about Star Wars sheilds that I find interesting... you state that they "deflect" and don't "absorb"... have you seen the movies or actually read any of the books? Do you see lasers bouncing off of/being actually deflected away from the sheilds of a ship in any Star Wars movie? No.... you'll note that their shields "absorb" all of the hits, and only after they are overpowered in what they can absorb do their shields begin to weaken in spots, until the entire shield is removed... which is why you'll find in many of the battles in the books between capital class ships, they specifically target all of their weapons towards one point on an enemy ship, in order to pierce their shields and hull, and work towards drilling thru the entire ship.
Also... I'm surprised that Zen has forgotten about the fact that the Imperial Star Destroyer has many batteries of Ion Cannons along with the concussion missle batteries and turbolaser batteries. I don't know how the Ion Cannons would add to Zen's earlier post, but I'm sure it would :D
Real Science Supported Fiction > Wimpy Wannabe Geek Fiction
(Now... I'll happily admit that I am nowhere near capable of what Zen can do, which is why I will simply sit on the sidelines and root for Zen and Star Wars, however, that doesn't mean that I can't make a simple observation as to how lame your "come back" against Zen is, because I didn't read anything that made me believe ST tech would win.... and the point is, regardless of how much of a fan I am for SW, I would be willing to admit at least a draw, IF and only IF you actualy posted something that could stand up to Zen's posts... but you can't so I won't worry about it >=) )
