Completely agree with rolling back of 10% rule because it doesnt make any sense.
Destroys the gameplay,gives huge advance to defender and makes attacking a strong player impossible.

Look, you re making a storm in a glass. Its not THAT bad. Scouts exist for a reason: to know the troops of your opponent. You scout them first, then you attack. If you dont make enough damage to get a report, you know that you need to send more troops.

What people seem to be missing here is that it is very easy to load up enough troops / defenses in a town to prevent the player from ever getting 10% damage on the defending force. This is soley due to the rally point limitation. If that was done away with and we could sling about bigger forces on an attack it would make more sense.
I really do not understand all the back and forth discussion on tactics, etc...Why is anyone defending this? Its a bad implementation of something that needed to be fixed.
The patch is a MAJOR game changer and thats already been seen. As it is this is a great detriment to gameplay and it HAS reduced the pvp already for established players. The intent was clearly to limit the small combat wave scouting that was occuring. They should put a % based on the defending cities ralley point or over XX number of units lost so that larger strikes will gain intel.

1. Scout City. Find out the troops and defences
2. Send small waves of warriors to clear out the traps, logs, and DT's. THIS is the point of the warrior waves
3. Once all defences are gone, send large army to engage other army in the city.
Can you scout AFTER an attack and get this information? YES
But what point is there to wasting time with another scouting report? I don't want to send MORE warrior waves than is necessary...but at the same time, it's stupid to attack...scout...attack a bit more...scout...attack...scout repeat.
It's just sucking the life out of this game.

The purpose of SCOUTING is to find out as much about the city as possible which includes Tech levels, troop and defensive fortifications, building details, resources laying about etc, and if they have more scouts than you do you will never ever get that scouting report which means any attack will walk right into a black hole which means either never attack them even if you could walk all over their defenses, or send your army into the void and lose everything and get nothing but a blank war report for your effort.
It is a minor solution at best, what do you base it on? If on rally point, then people build a new city and spam with 10k warriors or scouts. If on 90000 troops, then nobs still get nothing.
I think this was the best solution to the problem, otherwise they need a major overhaul to the game. They don't want to go back to formula.
