Zombie Apocalypse

For the guys that are saying flamethrowers and chainsaws...

how do you plan on carrying the fuel for it?

Carrying gasoline can be very dangerous. I'm not familiar with how flamethrowers work, but what if a zombie came up from behind? And not to mention, the ensuing flame wall that you create could box yourself into what ever area you're in at that particular moment. Not only would you have problems finding a flamethrower, but you must consider the dangers of carrying such a weapon. The zombie that your spray will not die immediately, so you'll be surrounded by a bunch of flaming zombies.

As for chainsaws, the fuel makes it a problem, unless they are coming out with hybrid models. And the safety concerns make it a weapon of last resort.

As for bringing Arnold, as I said, humans tire eventually. And I'm willing to bet Arnold will be in a bunker somewhere. Good luck getting to him.

You put the gasoline in a big tank underground, and you spin around and spray fire everywhere. It's the perfect plan.

See, most people think of flamethrowers as shooting pure flame out of the barrel which has a range of about 10 yards. In reality, they shoot a stream of burning napalm that can hit targets hundreds of yards away. So you just keep spinning, and it makes a big circle of fire around you.

Yeah, humans tire eventually.

And the only bunker Arnold would be in is the one he just built in 5 minutes to protect all the humans that got tired and he'd only be double checking the structural integrity before going back out and ripping zombies apart while shooting off a few choice one liners like "I guess he had to split".

1: Fire goes out.
2: The zombies will be burnt to ashes after stumbling onward for a few yards. Remember, they're dead, so all of the moisture in them evaporates, making them into walking, murderous kindling.

How long does the flame from a flamethrower last?

And those few yards could mean the distance between you being left alive, and you being eaten and thus later turned into a zombie.

Remember, there are a million ways to kill humans, but only one way to kill a zombie.

Flamethrowers are defensive weapons. For defending a base, or a safe zone. They aren't exactly offensive weapons.
