Edu's daily quiz

After the thread 'Ask the teacher' where more questions were asked, I thought it would be a nice idea to have a daily quiz.

Every day around this time (9.am UK time) I will post 3 questions that are linked by a subject. The subjects will change daily. In the weekend I will post a set of 5 questions for the 2 days.

Every correctly answered question gives you 1 point, so in total everyone can get to 20 points per week.

Answers only by PM to me, to get to a weekly winner.

So far I've come up with subjects such as Sports, History, Geography, Politics, Science, Famous People & Films, but if someone has got any other ideas, please let me know.

All questions are about facts and can all be found on the Internet (if you know where to look it's easy).

QUESTIONS DAY ONE, SPORTS

1) What do the letters P.S.V. stand for in the Dutch Football (soccer) Team?
2) In what year were the Yankees originally established?
3) What was the score in the first ever American Professional Football Association match?
