yeah,i do need to start from scratch...lost all my cities...Well,obviously not the LAST one:D...i dont wanna build cities...takes a lot of time in building from flats...NPCs might do the trick:p...anyone know how to conquer a lv 3,4,5 barb??Troops required to do so...

hmm on lvl 5 npc ur first wave shall be 500 ballistas if ur research is fair and 400 if all completed then send 15k or archers or warriors per wave and ssend 9 waves at once when they come back send again
well you gotta do this: be right by one and you have to be able to send 6 waves of ballista(at lvl 5 send 400-450 bout da same for transporters) every 4-5mins
All Techs are lv9 except medicine being 8...ballistae r ready...the only problem is...there isnt A lv4-5 NPC nearby...it will take 10mins journey...however i have a lv3 flat at a distance of 1mile...what do you reckon??Turn it into an NPC?

Ballista are waaaay too slow to capture a city even if it is in the next square. The NPC regenerates troops and defences and loyalty every 6 minutes so a 15 minute round-trip (which ballista will take for 1 mile) means it will take forever to capture the city.
If you want to send ballista as the first wave that is fine but it is barely necessary for a level 5.
It's not worth wasting a load of archers on the traps either. The level 5 defences are not that strong, you can send warriors for most of the attacks.
If you have ballista the first attack can be 450-500 ballista. That will clear the army and the archer towers.
You then need waves of about 4k-5k warriors to clear the traps. If you have a mass of Pikes it is better because they are way faster and you get in many more attacks in 6 minutes, but warriors are fine.
It will take around 10 attacks to fully clear the traps, so you will keep losing warriors until then. You only have one city so you can only send 1 wave of probably 9 attacks every 6 minutes.
On the second wave which will hit after 6 minute mark add at least 2k archers to your warriors. You don't need tons, but there will be troops and towers now again. Then the next 8 attacks of that wave can be just warriors.
It will take around 40 attacks to take the city. I usually reduce loyalty by 3 each attack, but the loyalty rises a bit every 6 minutes. It starts at 90, so count on 40 attacks.
You should have around 75-80k warriors to cover 9 attacks per wave (assuming a level 9 rally) and about 10k archers on hand to cover the spearhead at the start of each wave. You don't need to send them all at once, keep some in reserve to cover losses to traps.
The ballista help on the very first attack but are a bad idea for the rest of the capture.
You will lose around 2k warriors and a few hundred archers if you time it right and have decent tech and a decent hero.
i would like to do this too. capture a lvl 5. what do you mean by spearhead? how high should the atk of the other heroes be? right now i only have heroeis with 70, 68, and 69 attack. any advice for me or is it the same? also i thought we could only take off 2 loyalty per hit? how do you get -3?

I guess my two heroes have a 100+ attack so i would tag them decent enough...I hope 'l be able to win it off quickly coz i need my prestige to grow rapidly & not like a snail(which is the case now,as i have only 1 city):(
With the free speed-ups you could build a better city, than a level 5 NPC, quicker than you could conquer one. IMO the only NPC worth conquering is a lvl 10, then only for research, the amount of effort you have to put into demolishing buildings in an NPC (cotts, unneeded builings, stable, forge, workshop etc.) to build a decent amount of barracks is not worth it.
What I mean by spearhead is your first, biggest attack, that is the head of the spear, and then there are about 8 attacks that follow. You launch them all at once so they hit within 10-15 seconds of each other.Quote:

Send your heroes in order of their attack rating, highest first. The second attack will still hit some regenerated archer towers, but the first attack is the most important.
If you think your hero is weak, just add another 1000 warriors and another 1000 archers. But 70 is ok for this purpose.
