It is a great post, thanks to you, I capture my first npc level 10, not to mention it was the first time I hit one as the highest I ever touch was a level 6.
Just to share:
As my conquest is without penicillin and warEnsign, only with warhorn and corselet.
I used 2 initial waves (in a space of 10seconds):
1st wave: (16k warriors only sent to death) Battle report
2nd wave: Battle report
The rest as followed.
I had to used up to 54 waves because some of the waves miss the 1m50s windows (loyalty regain 2). As the target city was 2 miles from my attacking city, I had to use 9 heroes with a lvl9 rallypoint (no mayor). Total operation time: 1hr 34m.
Total loss: 110k warriors + 70k archers + all the rainbows for the waves
I had 4/9 heroes with Attacks below 95 causes more damage and of course, without Penicillin really burns.
Nonetheless, a big thank you to your guide and you deserve a +rep from all the readers.
Thank you for a great guide, but i couldn't find information about the timing between your attacks. Could you tell me more about the time spaced out in between each waves?
In addition, someone else in another thread mentioned that going all archers is better than using some ballistas. Have you tried this method?
Oh, and what's the deal behind those battering rams? are they really effective at all?
If you have noticed in the guide, I have mentioned it as less than 2minutes. You don't have to stick to a hard-written rule, plz refer to "V. SOME BASICS -> 2. Medals drop / Wave Timings balance" in the PDF.
I have answered this in the guide as well. Anyways, my point is if you have a total of about 50 barracks, 15 - 20 of them might be of level 9 and the rest of level 4+ So, you can manage Ballistae + Archers production hand in hand keeping in mind the population remaining and resources' availability in each town. And, 'all archers' is the FASTEST whereas 'all ballistae' is the one with LEAST LOSSES. This is a balance between the two. Hope you get my point.
I got them thru a mech. battalion, so just sent them lol. They may not be quite significant but add to the wave formation and can be expected to save some hits on main force but then the battle gets over mostly before rams become the targets.
have we got any A8or9 HBR1s out there?
would really like to see a battle report on those ones
I've still got HBR 2 and Archery lvl 7, should I stop upgrading HBR according to this? Or is it better to upgrade just so I don't have to wait for slow ballistae in PvP?
dam that sucks...;(
Yesterday: Archer 8/HBR 5 - no losses
Today: Archery 9/HBR 5 - 43 ballista lost at lvl 5 npc
