That kinda sucks, because every time I conquer my food production jumps to -50k until I recall and abandon. With the major server lag and connection issues, that could kill me quick before I even know it. :(Quote:

Could it be a keytrigger that one need to conquer the valley with a hero which is currently leveled lower than the valley itself?
I've taken high level valleys with a level 1 hero -- no meda. It's possible, but I doubt it.
I do find that a common thread in a lot of these medal captures is randomly encountering a high level opposing hero.

level 9 desert, I have been farming and farming probly about 10 diff valleys all lvl 7 or above.....finally got one medal.
Two lvl 7 valleys. One captured, one plundered. These are just two of the attacks out of 25 that gave no medals. I haven't received one since the update. I need one rose medal to get to baron and I can't find one or any other medal. I only attack lvl 6 or 7 valleys. Very discouraging. What should I do? Start over on server 5 which has eveyone operating under the new drop rate? I have to throw away all the time for lvl 8 walls, and town halls plus all the lvl 6+ academy knowledge? Days of planning and work and we are stuck. I need an answer. Is this it? Is this the future on this server? This game?

Level 8 Forrest, had a level 5 Hero. Won a Medal my first medal in over 50 valley attacks. Of course not the medal i need but hey a medal.

I opposing s high lvl hero is the key to getting a medal. What is the lvl of informatics that reveals this before an attack? Why the wasted effort hoping the opposing hero is leveled high enough. I've beated lvl 40 heros with my lvl 8 hero. What is the combination here?
I captured a lvl 50 hero in a lvl 8 Forest. No medal.

ok guys same lvl 9 desert valley, i let troops respawn and attacked it again, both times my losses were smaller than enemy losses, so i am hoping there is the correlation
to bad it was just another lion i dont need those lol
